If you’re looking to adopt a gentle, yet playful dog that has the routine down, Bridger is your guy. He is house/crate and potty trained.

He is dog and kid friendly. He enjoys daily walks and also loves to sun bathe or lounge around inside.

Bridger will be 7 in July and weighs around 65 pounds. He is affectionate but does not smother you. He sit politely and doesn’t jump. He’s a gentleman that is long overdue for his forever home.

Adopt Bridger🎩

*Thanks so much to Aaron for these pictures.

Courage is a handsome brindle boy still searching for the right people to give him a fulfilling life.

He has been in board and train and is now back with his foster and a truly a well-behaved dog. He knows sit, down, stay, wait, place and come when called.

Since he is a larger and stronger breed he’s looking for a family that can give him plenty of land to stretch his legs and give him mental and physical stimulation.

Courage needs a confident handler that is willing to give him the proper amount of time to adjust to a new environment, new people and new situations.

He is in foster with other dogs and has been around cats. He is still working on socializing with people other than his fosters so Courage is available for adoption with a trial period and at this point, only to a home with no children.

Courage is 2 years old and just over 100 lbs. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines & microchipped.

Spot has been with his foster in Washington for one month. In this time he has shown that he is such a quick learner.

He willingly enters his crate and now calmly walks out. He used to cry for several minutes when left and now it’s more like 10 seconds. He only vocalizes in the crate when he’s jealous that the foster’s personal dog is receiving attention. He is not vocal otherwise, even when outside.

Spot is fairly low energy and can be walked on a loose leash in a familiar environment. He responds well to level headed, positive guidance. He is house trained and when roaming around he may choose to be near his foster or might choose to be 2 rooms over.

He enjoys affection but is not needy. He is a smart boy and we are impressed with his progress. If you are near or within driving range of Port Orchard, Washington and are interested in adopting Spot, you can email [email protected] for an application.

We had an adoption at Kern County Powersports during yesterday’s event 🎉
I was not planning on taking Daisy until the day before, but I had noticed how scared she was at the shelter. Most people are looking for a friendly, bubbly dog that will run up to meet them and jump in their lap. She is not that dog but I knew that she could be that dog with the right person.

That person was at the event. The person that will give her the time she needs to decompress and learn to trust. He actually named her cause I hadn’t picked out a name since I chose to bring her last minute. Throughout the day I watched him continually go to her crate and literally lay on the ground so he could be at her level.

We just needed to make sure that his current dog was ready for a new friend so soon after they experienced a loss. As soon as she met Daisy, she was all tail wags. Daisy is still scared but from the update I received this morning she’s starting to warm up after getting to sleep in the bed.

We are so thankful that we were able to participate in their 2 year anniversary event and that we had an adoption 🙌

It was divine.

Spot’s freedom story exists due to one of our fosters diligently advocating for him. She continued to show interest and even contacted the shelter when the page that was networking him didn’t know his status.

I watched the comments mostly in silence, unsure if we could pull him and waiting to see if anyone else would step up. As circumstances would have it though, we had to say goodbye to Lily and a week later I decided to go visit Spot since he was on the euthanasia list again.

There was conflicting information on his behavior with other dogs so I wanted to assess him to see if this was something we were both prepared to tackle. He is young and under socialized but has shown nothing but caution with some avoidance and we can work with that.

Spot will be available for adoption in Washington after his transport and decompression time in his foster home. Today he received the rest of his vaccines, his heartworm test and preventatives. The invoice will be in our stories.

Spot is the newest member of our rescue saved from euthanasia at Wasco Animal Shelter. Thanks to our foster that was eager and determined to help him 🙌

At the same time that this was in the works, Cynthia was due for her annual bloodwork in order to approve her prescription for her seizures and I had to make the decision to let our hospice resident Lily pass on 🕊️

We have made this a fundraising post in order to replenish our rescue funds. We greatly appreciate any amount and would love if you would share and support us 🙏🏻

We said goodbye to Lily yesterday🪽 She was brought in as a hospice at 10 years old, but we had a feeling she had a lot of life left. Two and a half years to be exact.

She probably wound up at the shelter because her owner thought her medical would be too much to afford or that she was dying, but it turns out, she was only inoperable and didn’t need extensive medical treatment.

Lily had a zest for life and loved running around inside and out, or up and down her stairs and then laying on the bed next to me afterwards.

She always took a treat from my lunch on Sundays when we spent the day together and always responded to me when I said good morning, until her last day.

She declined rapidly over the weekend and I knew that she wasn’t going to bounce back this time. Even though it hurts to have to let go, there is a comfort in the thought that she went from my arms to Matt’s.

🐇🪄 We came up with her emojis because of her ears and how magical it was that she could be so lively when it appeared that she could be in pain from the size of her tumors but she only took pain meds for a short while right after she suffered a hernia one year ago.
