Courage’s fosters recently received his customized muzzle from The Muzzle Movement that we were able to purchase from those of you that donated specifically for Courage.

The muzzle is to help Courage ease into meeting new people. The only way to move forward in the journey to finding his adopter is to continue to positively and safely desensitize him to people.

Courage already has a great background in training with a focus on the place command. He knows sit, down, stay and come when called.

We’re hoping to find an adopter that is a strong leader. Someone that sees Courage as the beautiful, playful and sensitive dog that he is and is willing to give him a forever home with fulfillment, love and clear direction.

Welcome back 🎩 We have an adoption event this Saturday at Tractor Supply Co. on Calloway Dr. from 10am to 2pm. We hope that you’ll come out, say hello and give a treat to the dogs.

We appreciate your continued support. Rescue doesn’t stop because things don’t work out. We have to keep going but we do need help. If you can volunteer at the event or if you are local and able to foster, please email us: [email protected]

Currently Bridger is at boarding. Let us know if you’d like to visit or meet him. He will be at the event along with Angelica and a couple of other dogs that will be available for adoption as well.

FINAL UPDATE: Bridger is back and Available for Foster or Adoption. We appreciate everyone’s support while we continue the search for the right fit for 🎩

UPDATE: Goal has been met 🙌 Thank you so much to each of you that donated and thank you for the shares.

Yes, you read that right. Bridger has been adopted 🎉🙌 The reason why it’s pending is only because his adopter lives in Montana.

We have transport scheduled and Bridger has a vet appointment this coming week for his health certification and soon after, they’ll be on their way.

I’m hoping to raise $800 to cover his trip 🙏🏻 If you’ve ever thought about donating, any amount will help 🖤

I can hardly believe this myself but it’s happening! After 4 years of knowing there was someone out there that could give him an even better life. Someone that will be committed to him for the rest of his life, it has finally been the right timing for everything to come together.

I’m so excited for Bridger and looking forward to updates that I can share with all of you that have been so supportive of him and our rescue throughout the years.

Stay tuned as we go on this journey of getting Bridger home.

Angelica has been in the care of our rescue now for a year. We had hoped her adopter would’ve come by now but we understand not everyone wants to adopt a senior. We also know that there are others like us out there that would prefer a senior dog. Please help by sharing Angelica, we do not have a far reach on our own.

The plan was not for a year but we are here for as long as it takes. Angelica is 9 years old and enjoys frolicking when it’s sprinkling outside or rolling around in the grass any chance she gets. She is a sweetheart that would love to just be in the presence of her people. She is also independent enough to sleep in another room.

She has dog friends and can be in a home with children of the age that have experienced being around dogs and already know how to treat animals. Angelica is on 2 medications for her severe arthritis and is a healthy girl.

4 years ago today, Bridger left the shelter where he was on the list to be euthanized. He had been in isolation due to the gunshot wound through his ear and his behavior.

We celebrate Bridger today for how far he has come. In the first year he had surgery on both of his ears. The second year he had an abscess (that eventually burst) on one of his back legs. The third year he got to go in foster with another dog and a child. After a few months that foster family got an opportunity to move out of state so Bridger came back to me.

After noticing that Bridger was not getting the attention or exposure needed, we set him up in boarding for a few months. During this time he had several visits by volunteers that took him for a day out that ended up getting him another foster home, where he has been for the last year.

As most of you know, Bridger’s current fosters have their own dog and kids as well. However, there is yet again, a moving situation happening next month and Bridger will be coming back to me if we do not find another foster or finally, what we all hope for: his adopter 🙏🏻

Bridger has been repeatedly successful with dogs and kids. We are so very thankful to Bridger’s (previous) and current fosters. In the past year he has received the right amount of structure, love and true house training that he has been able to attend adoption events which was so difficult in prior years that it was embarrassing. If we didn’t have someone that could solely focus on walking him the entire time, we couldn’t bring him.

Bridger is now 7 years old and is such a good dog. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t worried about him coming back to life in a crate with much less time out, but I have not lost hope and will not give up that he has a home somewhere out there where he can roam about like I know he’s meant to be.

Ps. The last slide is Bridger’s DNA from Embark Dog DNA Test
One of the many things his current fosters so generously sponsored.

Angelica is 9 and we want more for her during her golden years. Someone that works from home would be best or a family where there is someone home more often to be able to take her out on potty breaks would be ideal. She loves to roll on the grass and to trot around when it’s sprinkling outside.

She is good with adults and other dogs that are low energy and probably no kids unless they are experienced with senior dogs.

We are only meant to be a stepping stone, a safe place for dogs to decompress, receive treatment if needed, and heal up so that we can see their true personality and needs in order to place them in the right forever homes.

Angelica is on 2 medications for her severe arthritis and has had some small growths which we have had our vet remove (or will have). If you have never had a senior dog, we are also here to help council. If you are interested in learning more or meeting Angelica😇 Email us at [email protected]

Thanks so much to The Round Up Feed & Pet Supply for inviting us to be a part of your 35th Anniversary Event. You all were beyond kind to us and we’re so thankful for the opportunity for our dog rescue to receive more exposure to the community.

Big thanks to our volunteers and especially .a.furever.friend for making the trip to pick up Bridger from boarding so that he could be given some attention as well. (His foster family was out of town)

We appreciate those of you that dropped off a donation, our new followers. The bully sticks, treats from and the adoption bags full of goodies from the RoundUp staff.

None of the dogs were adopted at the event but we are so happy to report that Aurora was adopted today at the shelter.

Please reach out if you’re interested in adopting or fostering any of our available dogs.

If you’re looking to adopt a gentle, yet playful dog that has the routine down, Bridger is your guy. He is house/crate and potty trained.

He is dog and kid friendly. He enjoys daily walks and also loves to sun bathe or lounge around inside.

Bridger will be 7 in July and weighs around 65 pounds. He is affectionate but does not smother you. He sit politely and doesn’t jump. He’s a gentleman that is long overdue for his forever home.

Adopt Bridger🎩

Courage is a handsome brindle boy still searching for the right people to give him a fulfilling life.

He has been in board and train and is now back with his foster and a truly a well-behaved dog. He knows sit, down, stay, wait, place and come when called.

Since he is a larger and stronger breed he’s looking for a family that can give him plenty of land to stretch his legs and give him mental and physical stimulation.

Courage needs a confident handler that is willing to give him the proper amount of time to adjust to a new environment, new people and new situations.

He is in foster with other dogs and has been around cats. He is still working on socializing with people other than his fosters so Courage is available for adoption with a trial period and at this point, only to a home with no children.

Courage is 2 years old and just over 100 lbs. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines & microchipped.

UPDATE: Spot has been transferred to The Pittie Project PNW 6/16/26 ✨

Spot has been with his foster in Washington for one month. In this time he has shown that he is such a quick learner.

He willingly enters his crate and now calmly walks out. He used to cry for several minutes when left and now it’s more like 10 seconds. He only vocalizes in the crate when he’s jealous that the foster’s personal dog is receiving attention. He is not vocal otherwise, even when outside.

Spot is fairly low energy and can be walked on a loose leash in a familiar environment. He responds well to level headed, positive guidance. He is house trained and when roaming around he may choose to be near his foster or might choose to be 2 rooms over.

He enjoys affection but is not needy. He is a smart boy and we are impressed with his progress. If you are near or within driving range of Port Orchard, Washington and are interested in adopting Spot, you can email [email protected] for an application.
