🚴‍♀️WATCH OUT, ANNANDALE! OUR STUDENTS ARE HITTING THE ROAD! 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️
If you see a group of Cardinal bikers cruising around town this week or next, give them a friendly wave! ❤️🖤
Mrs. Froelich’s and Mrs. Nicka’s PE classes are taking their learning beyond the gym and into our community as part of the Walk! Bike! Fun! unit! 🚲
Throughout this unit, students are learning:
🚦 The rules of the road and traffic safety
đźš´ How to safely ride on streets and main roads
🛑 Proper signaling, road awareness, and bike safety
🔧 Basic bike maintenance and repair skills! Students are learning how to troubleshoot common bike problems, make simple repairs, and handle unexpected mechanical issues that may happen while out on a ride.
đź’Ş Confidence, independence, problem-solving, and lifelong biking skills!
🌟 THE BEST PART? This incredible opportunity is FREE for our students! Thanks to a Minnesota Walk! Bike! Fun! grant, bikes and necessary equipment are provided, making it possible for students to participate regardless of whether they own a bike.
đźš— COMMUNITY MEMBERS: Please use extra caution when driving around town over the next two weeks. You may see groups of students practicing their biking skills on our local roads. Slow down, give them plenty of space, and feel free to give them a friendly wave or words of encouragement! đź‘‹
