This was a record breaking attendance year for My Dad's pool tournament Bob Baumgartner's straight 8 pool tournament. This year several times we broke the attendance record. Then the finale week for qualifying with 35 players decimating the old attendance record.
Not only that we had several young children and teenagers playing in the weekly tournaments this year. Which was one of my Dad's goals to be able to do for this tournament. I want to see even more of the youth and teenagers in our community coming in and playing in the future. That totally warmed my heart to see it multiple times this year. So I know my Dad was up above in heaven looking down doing his happy dance.

Even cooler was the tournament of champions. Where our gracious hosts the Rendezvous bar and grill In Annandale MN Owned by Tom Grether and Brittany loaded up two tables full of beer and spirits to be given away to the players playing in the championship pool tournament in a raffle every half an hour.Then Ashley baked up a Storm of sweet goodies. Her peanut butter chocolate kiss cookies were so good. Yum 😋 Then Again I was blown away by our hosts as they donated several of their freshly made house pizzas. For all of the players to eat. Then as always Sara-Jean Cox (Care Bear) was masterfully handling the cocktail's most Saturday's. And handling the Drawing.

Now Don't forget the first Saturday of the month starting in April 2026 Shelley Snabb her son Henry and his wife Ashley will be running an off season tournament.
All winners are welcome to participate in the tournament of champions at the end of the regular season of play.

Three three hours left to go before the tournament of champions registration starts. With it rumored that there is a possible over 30 players qualified to play in today's final championship pool tournament.. Bragging Rights to the champion. Double the normal guaranteed prize money for all three places and this beautiful brand new pool cue and case. For the person who takes First place in today's final tournament of the regular pool tournament season.

I know my Dad is looking down and smiling and dancing his little happy dance. Knowing that we have carried out his last wishes and exceeded his goals for this Pool Tournament.

Thank you for taking over and running the pool tournament. With just as much honesty and integrity as my father did. Also you three are the ones most responsible for it's growth. Thank you!

I am totally amazed about the attendance record being broken several times this year. With the last qualifying tournament played yesterday. We set the record number of players again with 35 (as pictured with my dad's shadow box on the wall behind everyone with his pool cue in it.)

A very big Thank you to Tom and Brittany the owners of the Rendezvous bar and grill in Annandale MN and their Staff. Thank you for continuing to host and support My Dad's pool tournament.

A very special Thank you goes out to Shelley Snabb Henry and Ashley. This tournament would not exist today without you and your dedication. I know my Dad is totally approving of my decision to have you take over his pool tournament, his pride and joy. Since you three took over I have watched it grow. Thank you!

My Dad always wanted more youths to join in on the fun. This last season we have had several young people show up and play in the tournament. I know my Dad is sitting up in heaven just amazed. That we have achieved his goals and then some for this tournament.

Most of all Thank you to all the players that showed up and played in this year's weekly tournament. The tournament would not even exist without you the players. Thank you for your dedication.
