For those of you that have met and worked with Gabe through The Alliance, you are familiar with her unwavering support, dedication and commitment to our company. She is the glue that holds us together and makes sure our members are heard and taken care of to the highest standard.

Speaker Spotlight! ⭐

Matt Hanks is the County Engineer for Brazoria County. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering and has been a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas since 2003. Matt’s career has provided him experience in both the private and public sector. He rejoined the County in his current role in November 2013 but originally worked as the Assistant County Engineer from 2004 to 2007. He furthered his education with a law degree from South Texas College of Law in 2009 and passed the bar that same year. As the County Engineer, Matt is the Department Head for the Engineering Department which manages capital projects; reviews subdivisions and developments; issues permits; issues addresses; and manages the County’s work for BCTRA. In addition to Engineering, he is the Department Head for the Road & Bridge Department which maintains over 1200 miles of County Roads. Currently he is on the Board of Directors for the Texas Association of County Engineers and Road Administrators, Baytrans and the 36A Coalition and serves as a member of the Transportation Policy Council. He resides in the City of Pearland with his wife Dena and his son Walker.

Keynote Speaker Spotlight! ⭐

Glenn Allbritton, the district engineer for TxDOT's Houston District, will be serving as the keynote speaker at Brazoria County's 15th Annual Transportation & Infrastructure Summit.

He is responsible for overseeing the planning, designing, building, operation and maintenance of the state transportation system for the six counties in the Houston District.

Allbritton was appointed district engineer for the Texas Department of Transportation’s Houston District on Dec. 1, 2024, marking an important leadership transition for one of Texas' busiest transportation hubs. With more than 26 years of experience, Allbritton takes on this role at a critical time for one of the state’s most dynamic regions.

A licensed professional engineer since 2009, Allbritton graduated from Midwestern State University. In his new role, he oversees the Houston District’s extensive transportation network, which includes nearly 12,000 lane miles and serves over seven million residents.
