🚑🚓🚒 If you heard or saw several emergency vehicles rolling through town with lights flashing and sirens sounding this past Tuesday, we were celebrating Texas Night Out!

AAEMC joined the Angleton Police Department and Angleton Fire Dept to visit neighborhood gatherings, connect with our community, and share some fun while showing off our equipment!

We look forward to this event every year. It’s a great opportunity to meet our neighbors, share information, and give everyone a closer look at the people and equipment ready to serve them.

Thank you to all the neighbors who hosted a gathering and everyone who came out to visit! We’re already looking forward to next year—hopefully with some new stops and new faces! 🧡

Longhorn Annabelle and MooMoo Ari are back with another adventure! 🐮🤠

Last week, we introduced these two as they joined us for Concert in the Park and tagged along on EMS calls. This week, they accompanied Chief Ayers, Deputy Chief Goodin, and Lieutenants Baxter and Jennings to the Texas EMS Alliance conference in College Station!

They checked out the view from the podium, attended classes, and even stopped by to visit some of the vendors. Digitech EMS Billing, Bound Tree Medical, Ferno, and Pulsara While our leadership team gathered valuable information to bring back to AAEMC, Longhorn Annabelle and MooMoo Ari were right beside them, learning along the way.

Continuing education helps us better serve our community—and these two weren’t about to miss out! 🚑📚

AAEMC joins the EMS community in mourning the loss of Dr. David Persse.

Dr. Persse dedicated nearly three decades of service to the City of Houston, serving as Houston’s Chief Medical Officer and playing a major role in the leadership and advancement of the Houston EMS system. A paramedic before becoming a physician, he never lost sight of the men and women providing care in the field. His work in EMS medical direction, resuscitation research, disaster response, and innovative programs helped shape prehospital medicine in Houston and influenced EMS well beyond the city.

His impact on EMS in Houston and across Texas will be felt for many years to come. We extend our thoughts and prayers to Dr. Persse’s family, friends, colleagues, and the countless EMS professionals whose lives and careers he touched.

Rest easy, Dr. Persse. Thank you for a lifetime of service to EMS.

It was an honor and a privilege to get to hear Mr. Moon speak about the things he did, ultimately leaving a legacy that will be hard to match.

John Moon’s legacy has helped shape EMS into what it is today. We couldn’t be more honored to have him kick off EMS EVOLUTION 2026 in just a few minutes.

Please keep the members of the Lake Jackson Fire Department and the family and loved ones of Andy Anderson in your thoughts and prayers. 🙏

Andy Anderson, 1422

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Howard “Andy” Anderson, a dedicated firefighter who served our community and the Lake Jackson Volunteer Fire Department for 50 years. Andy followed these years of service by continuing to work around the station for many years more. Andy passed away on September 29th, 2026, at the age of 84.

Throughout a remarkable half-century of service, Andy demonstrated unwavering loyalty, mentorship, and a deep commitment to public safety. His legacy helped train and lead multiple generations of firefighters in our department and the firefighting community. Andy helped build our department and has impacted countless lives of those he protected and touched over the decades.

We extend our deepest condolences to Andy's family and loved ones during this difficult time. Details on the services will be shared when they are available.

Long horn Annabelle and Moo Moo Ari were ready for another night on the ambulance. Dressed in their EMS uniforms they were waiting for the next call to come in. No matter how busy the night got, these two little medics were always ready to ride along, help the crew, and bring a little smile to everyone they met. 🚑🫎🐮❤️
