In preparation for the arrival of our new engine we had some work done on bay 3’s opening and door. 8” in height was added to the opening and a new door was installed. The truck would have just fit loaded with water and equipment but we just couldn’t take the risk of someone forgetting to fill the truck before backing it in and taking out the building and a 3/4 of a million dollar truck. Thanks to Clines Masonry and Twin Tiers Overhead Door for the excellent job done. We also painted the door frames International Harvester red and repainted the peak dark gray to spruce things up a little. The new truck should be arriving by end of month and we are planning an open house and a dedication ceremony once delivery is confirmed.

We had quite a busy month of June, 13 calls for service, fire fighter bailout/egress training, work nights and a few work days, multiple meetings, our first of three cruise nights for the year, kick off of our annual fund drive (some exciting news as a result of this soon), final inspection of our new E-ONE/Spartan engine at the Ocala FL plant, and planning and preparation for multiple events in July such as the 250 Celebration on 7/11 and the Allegany County Fair 7/20 thru 7/25.
In regard to our new engine (Angelica 1), E-One has completed their work and it will be moved to the Fire Line Equipment facility in New Holland PA for some additional up-fitting and lettering. We are hoping for an end of July delivery date.
