The Chambers County 4-H Program is offered to Chambers County's youth residents by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Chambers County.

The purpose of the 4-H Program is to provide young people with opportunities to learn about a wide variety of topics under the supervision and tutelage of County Extension Agents and Adult Volunteers. Last week, Megan, Sarah and Shelby attended the District 9 4-H Leadership Lab. This is a 3 day leadership camp where we also elected the 4-H District Council that will represent throughout the year. District 9 4-H is made up of 18 counties, including Chambers County.

Sarah Albus was a member of District 9 4-H Council for the ‘25-‘26 year and represented us well!

Shelby Albus is now elected to serve on the ‘26-‘27 council!

We can’t wait to see what’s in store for Shelby and want to thank Sarah for her hard work during her term.

Did you know 4-H has a State Ambassador program?

Wyatt Trainer was chosen as a Poultry Ambassador.
Rylee Fitzgerald, previously chosen as a Livestock Ambassador, has now been chosen to participate in the AgriBusiness Academy.

Both went through application processes that was a pool of 4-H members from all over the state and only a select few get to participate!

We want to congratulate our 4-H member, Sarah Albus, for receiving the $12,000 State Fair of Texas, Dallas Scholarship. Sarah has exhibited and participated in showing pigs, livestock judging, swine skillathon and vet science skillathon over the past years at this event.

If you have an exhibit hall project that was submitted individually (not by your teacher) you have until 12pm TODAY to pick them up! Any projects left will be disposed of.
