We were thrilled to gather Thursday for a ribbon cutting at New England Dyslexia Solutions celebrating 20 years of incredible service in our community!

Founded in 2006 by Amesbury resident Karen LoGiudice, New England Dyslexia Solutions has spent two decades empowering children, teens, and adults with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, and math learning differences. Karen’s journey began right at home when searching for answers for her own son, leading her to train as a Davis Facilitator and dedicate her life to helping neurodivergent individuals discover their unique strengths.

Karen provides personalized tools that change how individuals approach learning, building confidence, focus, and long-term success. As Co-Hub Director of Davis North America and a dedicated local practitioner, her impact reaches far beyond Amesbury, touching hundreds of lives across New England.

This special gathering was also a fitting way to close out October’s Dyslexia Awareness Month, reminding us all that learning differently is a strength worth celebrating!

Please join us in congratulating Karen on 20 years of dedication and community impact!

Nothing is scarier than visiting Matty and Shorty at Main Street Marketplace this time of the year. The shop is full of super cool Halloween items...many made by local artisans!

Our friends the skeletons aren't the only ones showing off their "bones" during ZombieCon! We're excited to welcome Amesbury's newest restaurant/bourbon room, Low and Slow Southern Kitchen + Tap to town!! And Friday is their "official" opening day!!!!

Their bartenders are whipping up some frightfully delicious concoctions for their official opening night to go with their Southern cuisine....we can't wait!! There might even be 🍬🍫 for the kiddos!

It’s official, our new Downtown way finding signage is up in Market Square!

The brand-new, 12-foot directional signpost in Market Square was officially installed today and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!

For years, our community has talked about creating clear wayfinding signage to help visitors easily navigate our downtown and support our incredible local shops, restaurants, and businesses. Today, that project has officially come to life!

Featuring personalized directory blades pointing in four directions, this new post will guide foot traffic right to the front doors of our businesses.

This milestone project was organized by the Amesbury Chamber of Commerce in partnership with local businesses and the City of Amesbury and was funded entirely through the Chamber and participating businesses, using zero taxpayer dollars!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who made this vision a reality including the Chamber Staff & Board of Directors for driving this project forward. Shout out to director, Sacha Field for taking inspiration from the Tannery’s incredible signage and helping us create our own version. Pat Carey, local resident who generously donated his time and skill to powder coat the post. Our Vendor Partners: Mountain Top Landscape Co., Port Sign Works, and Viking Welding and all the businesses who jumped on board early to participate!

Space on the new wayfinding signpost is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

It's shaping up to be an amazing Friday night in Amesbury! Barring any last minute changes, here's the 2026 ZombieCon map with all the participating locations.

If you're still a little confused on what this ZombieCon thing is all about, here's a few things to remember:

- "ZombieCon" is a costume oriented "Sip and Shop" to help support our amazing businesses.
- You don't need to be a Zombie! Throw on a witch hat...dress up as a ghost...draw a spider on your face...let's have some fun!
- Kids are welcome and the businesses with the 🍬 next to them on the map will have treats for the littles too!
- There's no "order" that you need to follow. Visit as many or as few locations as you want to...just get out and have fun and support local!

Besides the amazing tricks and treats at all stores, here's a few extras that you don't want to miss:

- Come and meet Kristina Ellery aka "Titicaca" from The Walking Dead: Dead City, at Apricot Lane Boutique from 5-7pm. Get a pic and talk all things zombies! 🧟

- Pop in to Bubble Bar Boston on Main to get your official pic taken by their staff to be eligible for the Costume Contest!! 📸

- Get the zombie kids over to Code & Circuit for their "Haunted Tech Lab" from 6-8pm! 💻

- Shhhhh...there might even be a grand opening of Amesbury's newest restaurant, but you didn't hear it from us!! 🤫

Ballots are available at our office and many downtown retailers. Online voting is also possible by liking your favorite photo(s).

We had a fun afternoon going behind the scenes at Shea Concrete Products for their Amesbury Precast Day!

We were fortunate to get a full plant tour from Greg Stratis to learn all about their impressive operations.

Family-owned and operated since 1947, Shea Concrete has been a powerhouse in New England manufacturing for over 75 years. From crafting high quality precast concrete steps, retaining walls, and drainage systems to heavy duty commercial buildings and municipal structures, their team blends craftsmanship, modern innovation, and deep-rooted family values in everything they do.

It’s always incredible to see the scale, precision, and local pride powering our business community and we’re super thankful for the opportunity to get a closer look. Thank you to the entire Shea Concrete team for hosting such a fantastic and educational day!
