Dear CDA Families and Teachers,

Tomorrow, our teacher, Ms. Sasha, will be working her last day at CDA.

Sasha joined us in June of 2021 when we had only been open for 4 months and needed a Lead Teacher. She took on the Pathfinders Team Lead Teacher role for the summer while another teacher was on maternity leave. Ms. Sasha has stepped in to help out each summer since. Last May, Sasha graduated with her teaching degree and is pursuing her dream of teaching high school English. This fall, you will find Ms. Sasha exhibiting her amazing talents in a Michigan High School.

We have a favor to ask. If you have an extra $5 or so, could you help Ms. Sasha through her GoFundMe to pay for moving costs? She has supported herself through college and needs a little help getting to her dream job. If you don't have an extra $5, please consider liking or sharing the post to help Ms. Sasha out.

Here at Gratiot County Hope House we strive to make the stay here as easy as possible by providing all the basic needs to our guests. This is why we always have a supply of full size hygiene products on hand. The supply is getting pretty low on some items and we could use some full size Shampoo, Conditioners & Body wash for Men, Women & Children. If you would like to drop off any donations at our office feel free to do so Monday - Thursday 8am - 6pm or Friday 9am - 1pm. If these times do not work for your schedule give us a call and we can set up a more convenient time - 989-681-8486. Thank you for your continued support!

The unofficial results are in!
In total, we have raised an estimated $806.00!! This is before all online donations have been tallied, so stay tuned for updated results!
1st Innovators, 2nd Investigators, 3rd Pathfinders, 4th Explorers. See the pictures for specific totals.
Our unofficial total raised before online donations is $5,825.50 with about $1,674.50 to raise today and tomorrow!
Thank you so much to all the teachers for showcasing their creativity and good-natured competitive spirits!
Thank you to everyone who donated to the contest, you all blew us away with your support!!

With a few days left in the contest, we have raised $159.83 with the Door Decorating Contest!
You can vote through Wednesday, February 26th, 2025!
Explorers is winning with $30.95 in votes
In second place is Innovators with $28.81 in votes
Third place is Pathfinders with $26.20 in votes
Lastly, Investigators has $23.87 in votes!
It is a close race! There was also a $50 donation on the United Way website for the pizza party!

WOW! Our first week with the Door Decorating contest raised $86.17!
After the match, that is $172.34! Thank you to everyone who brought in dollars and change to vote this week! I'll post the current standings on each picture. Remember, you can vote for your favorite door via the United Way QR code, text to give, and website. That will be posted on each picture as well. Be sure to send us a message to let us know which door the donation was for, so we can add it to the tally.

This week, we are starting our door decorating contest! Each classroom decorated their door (or entry wall) around the theme "Why we love CDA". Each classroom is collecting donations as votes for their favorite decoration. I will collect and tally the votes each day. The decoration that raises the most money will win a pizza party and $50 towards their classroom. The last day to vote will be Wednesday, February 26th. So friends and family can use the United Way website to vote for their favorite door. The decorations are:
Explorers: We ❤️ Exploring.
Investigators: Love is in the Air!
Innovators: Hands on Learning, Building, and Friends
Pathfinders: We ❤️ CDA because in the Pathfinder Classroom, we get to take chances, make mistakes & GET MESSY!

Tuesday February 11th from 6pm - 8pm CMU's Street Medicine Team will be back to offer FREE medical services to the community. This is FREE to the public. Stop by during these times if you need a check up, would like information about getting a Primary Care Doctor or just want to check it out. 1001 W. Washington St. in St. Louis.
