Wamba Dance and Drum Ensemble

Wamba Dance & Drum Ensemble was born out of the desire to blend traditional african dance and music, with a modern and contemporary twist.

Rooted in Ghanaian culture, Wamba aims to create a cultural community through dance that includes people from all walks of life. "Wamba" in the language of the Ga people from Ghana, means, "we are coming to gather." "What better way to gather people from any place and any age than through music and dance," says Artistic Director, Mensah Sokpor. Wamba Ensemble Members:
