People’s Choice Winner (patron voting Oct. 22-27): $25 Valley Bookstore gift card. Winners TBA: Thursday, October 29 so prizes and pumpkins can be picked up before Halloween.

HAPPY SATURDAY! Today is Freedom to Read Day (part of Banned Books Week). The Alberton Library is closed today (Saturday, Oct 10th), but we do have a Little Free Library! Come check it out. Also enjoy our Storywalk!!!

PS Monday is a national holiday. We'll be open as usual on Tuesday at 9:00 am! Come pick up a pumpkin and get going on our Pumpkin Contest. Entries due by Oct. 17th.

Stop by the Alberton Branch Library and pick one out for FREE! (While supplies last) Take it home, decorate it, then bring it back by October 20 for our second annual All-Ages Pumpkin Decorating Contest.
Kids and adults are encouraged to enter, and there will be prizes — including a $25 gift card to Montana Valley Bookstore!

It’s time to start thinking pumpkins! 🎃
The Alberton Library’s All-Ages Pumpkin Decorating Contest is back — and kids AND adults are encouraged to enter!
Pick up a FREE pumpkin at the library beginning Thursday, October 8, take it home and get creative, then bring your decorated pumpkin back by October 20.
🎨 Decorating only — no carving
🎃 One pumpkin per person
📚 If you prefer to use your own pumpkin, please keep it pie-size.
🏆 There will be prizes! Our People’s Choice winner will receive a $25 Valley Bookstore gift card, plus we’ll have a couple of other fun prizes too.
People’s Choice voting will be October 22–27, and we’ll announce the winners on Thursday, October 29 so prizes and pumpkins can be picked up before Halloween.
We had some wonderfully creative entries last year, and I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with this time!
