Please help us welcome our new AmeriCorps, Amy Coder! 🍀

Amy studied at the University of Florida, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Family, Youth and Community Sciences with an Area of Specialization in Stress, Development, and Early Childhood Wellbeing. During her time at UF, she worked as a Research Assistant in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, where she gained experience in data entry, data analysis, and program evaluation. She helped analyze pre- and post-program results for a middle school life skills program focused on strengthening peer relationships, building resilience, and developing skills to help students navigate challenges.
She also completed an internship at Ronald McDonald House Jacksonville, where she supported children and teens through recreational activities and relationship-building, coordinated volunteer groups, and helped meet the emotional and practical needs of families during times of crisis. Her passion for service began during her teenage years, when she participated in five service trips to Haiti, an experience that strengthened her commitment to working with youth and serving others.
With a strong interest in youth development and service, Amy is excited to create positive, supportive environments where young people can build confidence, resilience, and skills for life. She looks forward to bringing her experience and enthusiasm to Georgia 4-H and serving the youth of Cook County!

🎃 🍂 Get ready for an afternoon of fall fun! Cook County 4-H members in grades 6–12 can join us for our Junior/Senior meeting and pumpkin-decorating contest on October 12, 3:30–5:00 p.m. We’ll decorate pumpkins, hang out, and see who can make the cutest creation! 🎨 🍀

Cook County 4-H is celebrating all things GREEN this week! 💚

From showing animals and growing gardens to public speaking, community service, leadership, STEM, Project Achievement, camping, and so much more, there’s a place for EVERYONE in 4-H!

4-H is more than just a club. It’s a place to try something new, discover what you love, build confidence, make new friends, and grow into the leader you’re meant to be. 🌱

We’re so excited to celebrate the 4-H’ers, families, volunteers, and supporters who make Cook County 4-H what it is and we can’t wait to see where 4-H takes us next!

Project Achievement season is officially here! Join us Thursday, October 1st for our DPA Kickoff. All 5th–12th graders are invited to learn what DPA is all about, explore project areas, and get ready to share their skills, knowledge, and ideas!
