Blue Kindness

Blue Kindness Community Initiative Our goal is to build trust, create harmony, establish unity, and simply make someone's day a little better.

Blue Kindness is a nonprofit organization that supports Adel Police officers' ability to perform scattered acts of kindness in the community they serve. Someone in the line ahead of you pays for your coffee, your groceries, or your drive-thru order. They've "paid it forward," and you find yourself smiling all day! Perhaps it inspires you to pay it forward for someone else - and your smile deepens

knowing you made someone's day. Police officers are known to often perform these scattered acts of kindness out of their own pockets. Kindness is contagious, and their acts build trust and encourage unity, raising the spirits of the giver and receiver and bringing the police and the community closer together. After all, together we ARE the community.

Thank you to Domino’s Pizza for donating the pizzas to the Adel Police Dept’s ‘Student Citizen of the Month’ recipients this past school year! The award goes to High School & Middle School students each month who are nominated by their teacher and School Resource Officer. The kids are thrilled to be honored, but we know the coupon for a free Domino’s pizza is what they really like! Congratulations to all student recipients and thank you again to Domino’s for your participation!

In whole group discussions he actively builds on other's ideas, in turn-and-talks he is always willing to engage with his partner, and in one-on-one's with the teacher, he has great deep thinking questions that he poses. He's locked in and he's engaged at all times, which is so appreciated."

Cops ❤️ Dogs was a great success Saturday! We chipped a lot of pups and the APD Officers really enjoyed interacting with all of you who attended! Congratulations to Carol Gower, winner of the Free grooming at Groovy Grooms! Thank you to Kara Berhow of Oh My Dog Rescue for providing the microchips and inserting them so painlessly, and to Makayla Putz/ The Morning Grind for providing free coffee drinks! The APD was able to record several dogs with the hope it will facilitate getting loose canine family members back to their homes as quickly as possible. Thank you Chief Wade Book, Lt Deeth, Sgt Pickett, Officer Haley Pickett (who really carried the day!), and Officers Randolph & Shay for being part of this effort! Huge Thank You to Blue kindness Board Member, Jodi Selby for all her help pulling this together! Watch for more free chip opportunities via Blue Kindness!!
