Yesterday we had our annual Raingutter Boat Reggata. All of our amazing scouts and community came together to build some pretty neat boats to race.

The kids built boats from a kit, cardboard, and aluminum foil!

Then they got to race them against to other amazing boats with using a straw and creating their own wind to race down the Raingutter.

We all had so much fun!!!

Thank you to everyone who came out to join us!

Last week some of our cubs ventured up to the beautiful Camp Gorton. This year our team was super heroes, and not all heroes wear capes.

The kids had a super busy 4 days.

At Scoutcraft they learned how to safely use their pocket knives, and how to use a chef knife. Then they used their whittling skills to make a roasting stick to make a yummy treat over the fire. Our last day the learned how to use a compass and did some orienteering around camp.

Handicraft the kids used different mediums to create their own superhero name, a mask to hide their identity, and them their very own superhero cape.

Down in STEM the kids got to build their own mini get away vehicle out of legos and raced them, and then on the last day they made slime.

Nature was a hit, the kids made their own fishing pole out of a soda can. They were even able to catch many fish with them. One scout even caught a bass!!!

Up on the range the kids were able to learn how to use a bow and BB gun safely then test their skills.

Down at waterfront with the pirate rangers the kids were able to take their swim test we had two scouts pass and get swimmer!! Then they took out the row boats and have a sponge war😂😂

Summer camp was a win for everyone!!!! We cannot wait till next year!

‘‘Twas the night before Camp Gorton, when all through the house,
Not a Cub could sit still—not even a mouse.
The backpacks were packed by the front door with care,
In hopes that adventure soon would be there.
The uniforms hung, all crisp and all neat,
With hiking boots waiting by eager young feet.
The flashlights had batteries, the water bottles filled,
The excitement was growing—what an incredible thrill!
The tents would be pitched beneath skies so wide,
With campfires and stories and good friends beside.
There’d be trails left to hike and knots left to tie,
Songs sung around campfires beneath a star-filled sky.
The compass was ready, the first aid kit too,
Along with the Six Essentials every Cub knew.
From sunrise to sunset there’d be laughter and cheer,
Making memories to treasure for many a year.
So get plenty of sleep, for tomorrow’s the day,
When we’ll head off to camp and be on our way.
Be Prepared, stay cheerful, and do your best too,
Cub Scout Camp is calling—adventure awaits you!

Happy camping, Scouts! We’ll see you at camp!

🇺🇸 Happy 250th Independence Day from Pack 2027! 🇺🇸

Today we celebrate 250 years of freedom, courage, and the enduring spirit of the United States of America. As Scouts, we are proud to honor the brave men and women—past and present—whose sacrifices have protected the liberties we cherish.

This Fourth of July, let us remember that freedom is never free. May we continue to live with honor, serve our communities, and uphold the values that make our nation strong.

As we gather with family and friends beneath the red, white, and blue, let us celebrate not only our nation's history but also our shared responsibility to build a brighter future through service, leadership, and kindness.

From all of us at Pack 2027, we wish you a safe, meaningful, and patriotic 250th Independence Day.

God Bless America, and Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸⚜️
