Ten years ago, our world changed forever with the loss of Ava.
And yet…in ways both expected and unexpected, her light has never stopped shining.

Ava’s life, through far too short, left an imprint that cannot be erased. She taught us that joy can exist alongside heartache, that love can be fierce and soft all at the same time, and that life, no matter how brief, can make a difference in ways that nobody will ever fully be able to measure.

Through Live Like Ava, her spirit lives on in every act of kindness, every moment of courage, and every choice we all make to show others compassion. What began as grief became purpose, what began as loss became a legacy rooted in Hope.

Over the past 10 years we have learned that remembering Ava is not only about looking back. It’s about moving forward with intention. It’s about living generously. About finding beauty in ordinary moments. About choosing love in the face of uncertainty. These are the values that Ava continues to teach us.

There are moments when the ache feels just as real as it did 10 years ago, grief does not disappear, nor will ever…it transforms us. It softens in some places and deepens in others. Alongside the sorrow is gratitude… gratitude for having known Ava, for having loved her, for having her love us, and having witnessed how her life continues to inspire meaningful change.

Ava, thank you for the light and love you brought into this world. For the countless lives you continue to inspire. Ten years later, we are still living like you, as we always will.
