Kiima provides the community with trainings on agricultural techniques and animal management to help improve the livelihoods of the community. Kiima Foods obtained legal status as an NGO in 1995, For the period 1995 to 2000, Kiima Foods was promoting subsistence production through kitchen gardening in a bid to support food security and nutrition at household level. In the year 2001, Kiima Foods jo

ined in partnership with Broederljik delen a Belgian development organization for financial and technical support. Presently in the year 2012, Kiima Foods is, working with 35 farmer groups, one functional cooperative society and a functional Board of 3women and 4 men,, where a revolving scheme for over 600 Goats and 2,000 improved variety of Bananas is managed.
