Change Africa For Good Change Africa for Good's vision is a world where Africans are not just surviving but thriving.

We aim to achieve this by sending volunteers to share their skills with local communities in an African setting. Change Africa for Good empowers volunteers and NGOs to create real impact by understanding the real needs of communities in East Africa not so called ‘voluntourism. This is focused on 3 key pillars:

rs through assessing needs, matching the right skillsets, and equipping them for success on the ground through our learning resources. REAL PARTNERSHIP – we work closely with NGOs and volunteers, understanding their aspirations and goals, and supporting them through every step of the journey - enabled by our personalized service & ‘user-driven’ online platform. REAL IMPACT- We are focused on creating real impact over the long term, setting KPIs to evaluate outputs, outcomes and impact aligned to the UN SDG’s, and providing a ‘return on impact’ report for every single program.

General information

The Problem Many smaller community-based NGOs in East Africa do outstanding work in health, education, and socio-economic development, but their potential is limited by funding and capacity. They are reliant on international organisations who don’t partner with them to deliver sustainable impact and send volunteers lacking the right attitudes/skills. Similarly there are many volunteers who are equally frustrated by the so called ‘voluntourism’ provided by international volunteering organisations. They want to make a real lasting impact to communities and people in need through matching their skills to the right NGOs and community based programs. Our Solution Change Africa for Good is new volunteering organization based in Uganda, supporting community based NGOs in East Africa. Our focus is empowering NGOs and volunteers to create real impact in communities by understanding their real needs and through real partnership Our team has a decade’s experience as an NGO ourselves in Uganda, so truly understand what is needed to make a difference in these local communities across East Africa. 30NGOs from across East Africa have already signed up to be members once we launch.
