firearm surrendered today morning. It was delivered in the presence of the CECORE field team in the presence of the LC3 Chairperson of Kaabong East, LC1 Chairperson Komeska Village. The girls in the picture were providing food supplies to the worriers (in yellow Tshirts).

The district leadership and the security personnel have so much appreciated the work CECORE is doing that has brought these young people out of their hideout.

On day one CECORE has conducted an Advocacy Skills Development for policy influencing Training for members of the SDG16+ Working Group and GPPAC ECA Uganda partners at Golf Course Hotel under the “Connection for Peace: Powerful Local Peace building and Policies (2024–2031)” program. The training aimed at strengthening the participants’ capacity to communicate effectively, engage decision-makers, and advocate for inclusive policies that promote peace, justice, and strong institutions in Uganda. This initiative marks an important step toward amplifying local voices and enhancing collaborative peace building efforts
