Nuv-hop bestaat uit een samenwerking van geneeskundestudenten uit België, Manchester en Oeganda. Deze zomer zal het project medische hulp en health talks aanbieden in Noord-Oeganda. De focus ligt voornamelijk op preventieve geneeskunde, maar daarnaast zullen er ook medische kampen worden opgesteld.

April was another busy month for NUV-HOP. We had several important meetings, hosted our alumni dinner, received our T-shirts, organised a “To the Global South” preparation day with UCOS and, last but not least, selected the Ugandan volunteers. Yesterday marked the very first edition of our Alumni Dinner & Sponsor Evening! ✨

A big thank you to everyone who joined us, it truly was a wonderful and successful event. We hope to turn this into a yearly tradition, bringing together alumni, current members, family, friends, and supporters of NUV-HOP.

🌍 Support our NUV-HOP Wine Sale for Uganda! 🍷

This summer, Belgian and Ugandan medical students will once again join forces to strengthen local healthcare through health education, prevention, and medical outreaches in rural communities.

To fund medical supplies and medication for these outreaches, we’re launching our annual wine sale!
You can place your order through the link (also in our bio) until 7/12. Delivery within Belgium will arrive before Christmas — perfect as a holiday gift! 🎁

Living abroad? Donations are also very welcome.

📌 When making a donation or bank transfer, please include the note: “NUV-HOP 2026 Support via socials” and select “Geen Voorkeur” on the forms.

💯 All proceeds go directly to the project — none are used for personal travel costs.

Vorige woensdag vond onze eerste outreach plaats in Okidi. Dankzij de inzet van het hele team hebben we een groot aantal patiënten kunnen behandelen. Voor het eerst waren er niet alleen dokters, maar ook tandartsen aanwezig op de outreach. We willen ook onze partnerorganisatie Reproductive Health Uganda bedanken voor hun waardevolle bijdrage

We voorzagen ook een Health Talk voor de patiënten tijdens het wachten, over therapietrouw en correct medicatiegebruik.

We kijken uit naar de volgende outreach die dinsdag op de agenda staat!
