🗣️The Tobago Reforestation and Watershed Rehabilitation Programme - TRWRP was pleased to participate in the 2026 World Food Day activities, which was hosted by the Division of Food Security

🌿This year’s display encompassed a blend of items which showcased TRWRP’s progress as a special purpose entity now under the remit of Division of Environment, Climate Resilience and Energy including information on our mandate and green space development projects executed.

🌿We also showcased sample products that would be available at our soon to be opened Scarborough Botanical Gardens Tea Experience, with the Secretary for the division Assembly Member Darren Henry, gracing us with his presence, and even sampling some of our tea tasters available on site.

🌿Management and staff hosted students and other stakeholders that took part in trivia about TRWRP, learning more about our upcoming outreach initiatives, the Tobago Eco-Stewardship Programme and our many exciting initiatives set to be rolled out in the remaining months of the year and in 2027!

🌿Key to our display being success was also the support of members of our board of directors, who visited our display, while encouraging the continued efforts of TRWRP’s staff in putting on such a great display this year for World Food Day.

🗣️The Tobago Reforestation and Watershed Rehabilitation Programme - TRWRP is featured by TTT Live Online in this report and overview on our recently concluded stakeholder consultation on the implementation of the proposed user fee and permit structure, for operations at Little Tobago.

🟢We aim to continue our conversations towards refining this structure, with a view of bring all stakeholders to the table, and to implement this system in the quickest possible time.

🟢We also aim to find a fair and workable balance between overall user satisfaction, customer service, and smooth operations to those that provide services including tours and other experiences at Little Tobago.

🟢We are also committed to managing the space effectively in collaboration with the Department of Natural Resources and Forestry (DNRF) in the Division of Environment, Climate Resilience and Energy to ensure that the law is upheld, compliance is met, as well having effective conservation efforts to protect our natural resources in and around Little Tobago.

User fees and permits will soon be required to visit Little Tobago. 🗣️The Tobago Reforestation and Watershed Rehabilitation Programme - TRWRP celebrates in this feature with TTT Live Online our newest Tobago Eco-Stewardship Programme participating partner Eden's Door

🟢We thank Kandace S. Jackson and her team for such a comprehensive overview of our partnership going forward, particularly in the vein of tea making and brewing of locally grown herbs and plants such as tarragon, soursop, lemongrass, bayleaf and ginger.

🟢We also thank Dr. Jennifer Bailey, owner and founder of Eden’s Door for demonstrating how culinary arts can be fused with nature based tourism experiences and eco-conscious practices in agriculture.

🗣️A wonderful day of activities was had as the Tobago Reforestation and Watershed Rehabilitation Programme - TRWRP participated in the 2026 Goldsborough Agro-Expo!

🌱Today our Chairman, General Manager and staff took the time to host a wonderful spread of informative features, games and interactive sessions about TRWRP at our display tent!

🌱We were pleased to collaborate in this initiative with Mr. Raul Bermudez, who generously added great value to our display by donating two hundred (200) breadfruit trees, as part of an ongoing partnership to raise awareness on the value of breadfruit to our island and it’s immense potential to produce economic benefits.

🌱At our display today, we were graced by the presence of visitors from Primary and Secondary schools, community organizations, farmers and even agricultural enthusiasts that were on site at the Goldsborough Agro-Expo today.

🌱We look forward to upcoming events of this nature, as TRWRP continues to contribute towards developing agroforestry based activities, while promoting green spaces and ensuring that environmental education and advocacy remains at the forefront of our operations.
