To The Leadership of the
Tobago People’s Party (TPP)

Dear Political Leader, Executive, and Members of the Tobago People’s Party,

On behalf of the Trinidad and Tobago Diaspora Outreach Network (TDN), please accept our warmest congratulations to the Tobago People’s Party on your historic and comprehensive victory at the Tobago House of Assembly polls held yesterday, in which you secured all fifteen (15) seats contested.

This decisive outcome represents a powerful affirmation of the confidence placed in your leadership by the people of Tobago. It confers upon the Tobago People’s Party, and the Farley Augustine administration, a significant and far-reaching mandate to advance the comprehensive blueprint for Tobago’s development that has been articulated and presented to the public. We recognize both the opportunity and the responsibility that accompany such an unequivocal endorsement by the electorate.

The Trinidad and Tobago Diaspora Outreach Network welcomes the clarity of vision and developmental focus outlined in your policy framework for Tobago’s social, cultural, and economic advancement. We stand ready and willing to contribute meaningfully to the realization of this agenda. Our organization represents a wide cross-section of Trinidad and Tobago nationals and affiliates across the global diaspora who are eager to bring their skills, expertise, networks, and resources in support of sustainable development initiatives on the island.

TDON looks forward to constructive collaboration with the Tobago People’s Party and the Tobago House of Assembly in areas aligned with Tobago’s development priorities, including but not limited to economic diversification, cultural promotion, human capital development, youth empowerment, investment facilitation, and international engagement.

Once again, we extend our heartfelt congratulations on this landmark achievement. We wish you every success as you move forward in service to the people of Tobago and in the fulfillment of the mandate entrusted to you.

Please accept our assurances of highest consideration.
Yours sincerely,
Trinidad and Tobago Diaspora Outreach Network (TDON)

STATEMENT: PRIME MINISTER THE HONOURABLE MRS KAMLA PERSAD-BISSESSAR, SC, MP, RECEIVES THE CARRIBBEAN GLOBAL PEOPLE’S CHOICE LEADER AWARD, 2025

On Saturday 25th October 2025, in the Parliament, Prime Minister the Honourable Mrs Kamla Persad-Bissessar, SC, MP, was officially presented with her Caribbean Global People’s Choice Leader Award 2025 certificate by Dr. Michaelene Holder-March, Sole Founder and CEO of the Caribbean Global Awards.

Earlier this year, mere weeks after assuming office, PM Persad-Bissessar secured this People’s Choice Award by an overwhelming public vote, earning the highest number of votes among 58 regional leaders, a resounding endorsement of her visionary leadership, her lifelong service to the people, and her enduring connection with citizens across the world.

She was unable to attend the grand awards ceremony at London’s Cumberland Hotel last month (September 2025), as she was concurrently engaged in high-level international duties and critical multilateral deliberations at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

At the ceremony, however, a pre-recorded acceptance message from Prime Minister Persad-Bissessar was played, in which she expressed deep gratitude to the Caribbean Global Awards and to the thousands who supported her.

The Caribbean Global Awards stands as a premier celebration of regional excellence, honouring individuals and organisations who exemplify the spirit of its guiding motto: ‘Unity is Strength.’

Prime Minister Persad-Bissessar extended her heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Michaelene Holder-March for personally presenting the award, and reaffirmed her commitment to championing empowerment, and progress for all.
