SMU Foundation was proud to host the closing ceremony of the Ambassad'Acteurs - Urgence Plastique initiative, celebrating the creativity, commitment, and achievements of the young ambassadors who joined us in raising awareness about plastic pollution through digital storytelling. ♻️🌍

Over three training sessions held at SMU, 74 students coming from SMU and other universities developed their skills and knowledge about the alarming danger of plastic through scientific facts, research and site visits and improved their skillset in communication and advocacy, content creation, and mobile filmmaking producing over 20 inspiring awareness videos that demonstrated both creativity and purpose. During the closing ceremony, we had the pleasure of recognizing their outstanding work, celebrating the winning videos and supporting participants in continuing their environmental advocacy.

This initiative is a wonderful example of what can be achieved through collaboration. We are grateful to our partners Association d'Education Environnementale pour les Futures Générations AEEFG and Yaluna for empowering youth to become advocates for a more sustainable future.

A heartfelt thank you to the inspiring Mrs. Semia Gharbi, and the incredible AEEFG team and Aziz Chaibi and Ilyess Boussandel, the amazing Yaluna team, and, above all, to every participant whose passion and creativity made this initiative such a success. 💚

Watch the highlights from the closing ceremony and celebrate with us the incredible journey our young ambassadors !!🎥♻️
