EBIS and Ludzeludze Inkhundla.
Our work in not greatly in the office but out there where we get to interact with emaSwati on different platforms, so yesterday we were invited to be part of Tenhlalakahle Radio Program on EBIS hosted by DPMO where we at length discussed the inclusion of people living with disabilities in the fight against crime. The dissemination of Information which should be inclusive and be able to reach all emaSwati, regardless of my disabilities but in consideration. As an organization, in future we will also have measures put in place to make our environment inclusive and friendly to all, including having a sign language interpretation, wheelchair friendly offices just to name but a few.
We later on went to Ludzeludze Inkhundla, were again, in depth, we discussed the triggers of crime, some being lack of information, to much free time, lack of opportunities, peer pressure (the feeling of being left out) to name but a few. It is then our duty as constituencies to have youth friendly programs by the youth and for the youth if we are big on eradicating crime related issues in our communities. Crime is not just a statistic but our everyday reality and you can't really learn the real issues if you only read about it as numbers, go on the ground.
