The Consortium of PLHIV in Eswatini, extends its deepest and heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, colleagues, and the entire nation following the passing of Mrs Rejoice Nkambule, Deputy Director in the Ministry of Health.
Mrs Nkambule was a compassionate leader, a dedicated health worker, and a true champion for people living with HIV. At a time when stigma, fear, and discrimination were very high, she and others stood with courage and humanity to educate communities, provide counselling, and give hope to countless people living with HIV across Eswatini. Her kindness, support, and commitment touched many lives and restored dignity to those who felt forgotten.
Her journey from frontline health worker to leadership within the Ministry of Health was a reflection of her hard work, passion, and unwavering dedication to improving the lives of emaSwati. She played an important role in strengthening the HIV response and advocating for care, treatment, and support for vulnerable communities. Today, we mourn the loss of a mother, sister, mentor, colleague, and servant of the people. The HIV community has lost a strong pillar whose legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.
May her soul rest in eternal peace, and May God comfort her family, loved ones, colleagues, and the entire nation during this difficult time.
