Hundreds of people from the ministry of public work and transport were today screened for diabetes and hypertension, TB, cancer, and HIV, at the mafutseni clinic next to CPL complex.curative services was also provide ti the entire employees of the ministry of public works and transport. The event was organised by the ministry of public work and transport in collaboration with the University of Eswatini Community Health department. Present in the event were the minister for public works and transport chief Ndlaluhlaza, University vice Chancellor Professor Tfwala, representive from the emafutseni chiefdom and many other dignitaries. As the saying Goes "lead by example" , the minister for public works showed them the rope and Got his blood pressure and Diabetes checked after dilivering a very inspiring and informative speech encouraging every member to stanf up for their lives, he went on to applaud employees from his ministry for the wonderful service they provide to the nation

It's indeed a busy week for Diabetes Eswatini, while other are busy at the Ndzevane health week, our dedicate team simultaneously participated at the ongoing monthly community outreach held at the mafutseni CPL complex. This event is organised by the Department of Community Health Nursing Science. University ofEswatini.This special event provide tge mafutseni community with a chance of enjoying free health services for free every Thursday of the third week of the month

All curative services are provided for free, The event is made special by the presence of the specialist such as dental service and eye service to mention a few, the event was organised by rotary Eswatini in collaboration with diabetes Eswatini and many other stakeholders, The event started on the 16 of March 2026 and is expect to take 4 day until the 20 of March 2026.

November is Diabetes awareness month. As we commence the Diabetes week, on Saturday 07 November 2025, hundreds of Emaswati rised and say no to diabetes Mellitus at piggs peak inkudla in an event hosted by Eswatini sports council in collaboration with Diabetes Eswatini and other stakeholders. The marvellous event known as shukuma Eswatini was meant to show emaswati the rope on different exercises techniques for them to practice in their daily living at home. Its have helped Emaswati to adopt a healthy lifestyle and reduce diabetic complications.This event precedes the main world's diabetes day to be held at Mbabane city Council on the 14th of November 2025 where different activities would take place including free diabetic screening for everyone who will attend the event. Emaswati, particularly the diabetic population, will get the opportunity to know their numbers, not only for diabetes but on all others NCDs including hypertension a
weight and hight, BMI and cancer screening to mention a few. The availability of HbA1c machine ;an advanced gadget which can reveal your blood glucose level up to the past three month would make diagnosis easy for everyone who would like to get his or her glucose level checked during this day.
Join us in raising awareness, spreading knowledge and creating lasting change for everyone affected by diabetes Mellitus.
