In collaboration with the European Union in Eswatini Civil Society in Action (CSA) project is supporting the design, production, and dissemination of art and media products to advance advocacy on:

* Women’s rights and gender equality.
* Inclusion and participation of vulnerable groups.
* Promotion of social and economic rights.
* Climate justice. 🌍

As part of this initiative, two content creators will be selected to participate in a mentorship programme with Sunshine Cinema in 2026.

This is a unique opportunity to strengthen your storytelling, technical, and advocacy skills through hands-on mentorship with media professionals passionate about social impact.

YOUTH BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT: Zncee Fast Foods – A Journey of Growth, Learning & Purpose 🍟🍔

Through the support of the YES Project under COSPE Southern Africa, Zncee Fast Foods has experienced a transformative journey, from a growing hustle to a purpose-driven, structured small business.

💸 Seed Grant – E29,200 Invested in Growth
Zncee Fast Foods received a seed grant of E29,200, which was channeled into the essentials of running a fast-food business: stock, rental space, branding, and basic equipment. This capital injection gave the business the boost it needed to scale operations and meet rising customer demand.

🧠 Business Development Training Skills That Empower

Zncee Fast Foods participated in a comprehensive training program covering key entrepreneurial pillars, facilitated by Mr. Sibonakaliso, Ms Nokwanda Msibi, Mr Nathi Nhleko, Machawe Mtsetfwa and Gift Dlamini. Lessons included:

📌 Core Branding Materials:
- Importance of logos, packaging, uniforms,and overall visual identity.
- - How branding builds recognition and attracts customer loyalty.

📌 Customer Service:
- Understanding customer needs, handling complaints, and delivering value consistently.
- Training focused on creating a positive experiencenthat keeps customers coming back.

📌 Sexual Harassment Awareness:
- Explored the types of sexual harassment in the workplace — verbal, physical, visual, and online.
- Discussed prevention, reporting mechanisms, and creating a safe work environment for all employees.

📌 Interpersonal Skills:
- Sessions focused on teamwork, communication, emotional intelligence,and conflict resolution.
- Strengthening these skills was key to improving workplace relationships and customer interaction.

📌 Inventory & Inventory Management:
- Learning to track stock, calculate operating expenses, and understand break-even points.
- Practical exercises included tracking units sold and determining markup.

📌 Cash Flow Budgeting:
Zncee practiced real budgeting using real-time figures:
- August Inflow
- August Outflow
- Net Cash Flow

This empowered the business to plan finances more effectively and avoid common cash pitfalls.

🚌 Business Tour – Mnandi Bakery, Siphofaneni

As part of the program, Zncee visited Mnandi Bakery. A well-established business in Siphofaneni. This exposure helped the team see real operations, learn from experienced entrepreneurs, and gain insights into best practices in food production and customer service.

🛠️ What’s Next for Zncee Fast Foods?
With strong financial support, practical training, and a deepened understanding of entrepreneurship, Zncee is now positioned for sustainability and long-term success. The business has not only grown in operations but in mindset and vision too.

From 17 to 18 July, in partnership with the European Union under the YES Project, a workshop was held for seed grant winners focusing on effective group collaboration, conflict resolution, and strengthening teamwork within group-led enterprises. A step forward in equipping participants with the tools to build sustainable and cooperative businesses.

Proud moments from right here in Lwandle! 🇸🇿✨ Through the YES Project and support from the European Union, women and youth from our community joined hands with others from Lubombo and Manzini to exchange life-changing skills, from making aloe vaseline and polish to chilli sauce and dishwashing liquid. This is what empowerment looks like when we invest in our people. 🙌🏽💜

What an inspiring week! In partnership with the European Union under the YES project, we just wrapped up an incredible training session (June 10-13) for media coordinators from 15 communities and two towns. We delved deep into using film, storytelling, and art as powerful advocacy tools, alongside mastering camera fundamentals, picture editing, and top apps for editing and poster creation. So much talent and passion in one room!
