Liphimbo LaboMake Regional Consultations Shaping Our Next Five-Year Strategic Plan 📋
Co funded by the Union in Eswatini through the Civil Society Action Project led by COSPE Southern Africa Liphimbo LaboMake went region to region, consulting directly with women, community leaders, and partner organisations as we charted the course for our next five-year Strategic Plan.
⚜️As a non-partisan coalition of women from all walks of life individuals, non-profit organisations, women's groups, professionals, and policy-makers we knew that a strategy is only as strong as the voices that shape it.
⚜️These sessions were not designed behind closed doors; they were built together, community by community.
Women across the country shared their lived experiences and spoke into the priorities that matter most to them from;
✅️economic empowerment
✅️leadership opportunities to protection of their rights✅️stronger representation in decision-making spaces.
⚜️Beyond community engagement, these consultations also strengthened government structures building collaborative relationships with local and national authorities and reinforcing the systems that allow women's issues to be addressed effectively at every level of governance.
Every voice gathered became part of the foundation for a plan that truly reflects the needs of women in every corner of the nation, including rural communities too often left out of national conversations.
🤗We are grateful to everyone who showed up, spoke honestly, and trusted us with their insights. Your input has shaped the direction of this movement for the next chapter.
👂Listened to. Structures strengthened. A plan built for every woman, everywhere.
Liphimbo LaboMake's Strategic development process, began in Manzini, where the energy set the tone for what was to come. We then sat with marginalized groups, ensuring that the most vulnerable voices were not just heard but centered. From there, we moved to the Lubombo highlands, where resilience and wisdom flowed freely. We continued to Hhohho, where the women brought vision and determination. And finally, we closed this chapter in Shiselweni, where the women's fire and commitment reminded us exactly why this work matters.
This process has been a powerful reminder that will guide the women's network and strengthen democratic structures to amplify women's voices. Led by a consultant, Liphimbo was joined by coalition members and partners for this exercise. From all the consultations, we have built a future that truly represents us all. One region, one voice, one powerful vision.
