Today, SWAGAA, under the “Strengthening Community-Based Child Protection, Mental Health and Psychosocial Services to the Most Vulnerable Populations Affected by the Health Crisis in Eswatini” project, supported by UNICEF Eswatini and the People of Japan, facilitated a csensitization session for students, school support members and the school committee at Makhwekhweti primary school under Sithobela Inkhundla.

The session focused on GBV prevention and reporting, consent, and mental health awareness, equipping community members with knowledge and practical information to promote safety, well-being and stronger community protection systems.

Through continued community engagement and awareness, SWAGAA remains committed to strengthening child protection, preventing GBV and promoting mental health and psychosocial well-being across communities.

As part of the KNH Project, SWAGAA distributed 15 food hampers to students with disabilities at Mbasheni Primary School, supporting vulnerable learners and helping ensure that their basic nutritional needs are met. 💜

Through initiatives like these, SWAGAA continues to strengthen community support systems and promote the well-being, inclusion, and protection of children with disabilities. 🤝🏽✨

Today, under the KNH Project, SWAGAA facilitated Students’ and Parents’ Club sessions at Mbasheni Primary School.

The sessions provided a safe and engaging space to discuss positive parenting, the barriers faced by children with disabilities, and how students can support, include, and look out for one another. 🤝🏽

Through these conversations, SWAGAA continues to strengthen families, promote peer support, and foster more inclusive and supportive environments where every child is protected, valued, and empowered to thrive. 💜✨

It’s a wrap! 🎉💙

Day 2 of the Teen Club Mentors and Facilitators Training has come to an end.

SWAGAA, in partnership with UNICEF Eswatini, with support from the People of Japan, and in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, successfully concluded the two-day training under the Strengthening Community-Based Child Protection, Mental Health and Psychosocial Services to the Most Vulnerable project.

Today’s session focused on mental health, stress management, and self-care, equipping teen club mentors and facilitators with practical knowledge and skills to prioritise their wellbeing while supporting adolescents.

Together, we are strengthening those who support young people and creating safer, healthier and more supportive environments where adolescents can thrive. 💙

Strengthening Community-Based Child Protection, Mental Health & Psychosocial Support

SWAGAA, in partnership with UNICEF Eswatini and with support from the People of Japan, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, facilitated Day 1 of the Teen Club Mentors and Facilitators Training.

The session covered HIV and stigma, mental health and psychosocial support, GBV and VAC prevention, self-care, and resilience.

Together, we are equipping teen club mentors and facilitators with the knowledge and skills to create safer, more supportive spaces where adolescents can thrive.

We were honoured to be among the stakeholders invited to the MTN Kick-Off Carnival held today at the University of Eswatini (UNESWA), Kwaluseni Campus. 🎉

The event brought together students from Eswatini’s three tertiary institutions for a day of connection, entertainment, engagement and celebration.

Through our information stall, we had the opportunity to engage, educate and empower students on mental health awareness, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), prevention, reporting and available support services. 🧠💜

We are proud to be part of spaces that bring young people together while creating opportunities for meaningful conversations, awareness and empowerment.
