During our General Meeting held on May 2nd of 2026, the day was enriched with two special events that brought learning, connection and openness to the forefront.
๐ธ๐ท|One of the highlights was the โTaki nanga Skrifi Sranantongoโ crash course, presented by Professional Development Avenue. This interactive session offered fellows a meaningful introduction to the Surinamese language: Sranantongo. Although it is not our first language, it remains a unique and important part of our identity as Surinamese. Through engaging exercises, our fellows and guests learned how to pronounce and write the language in a practical and enjoyable way. The key takeaway was clear: Sranantongo should not be seen as a taboo, but rather embraced, valued and preserved as part of our cultural heritage.

|In addition, we hosted our Open Guest Day, where guests were warmly welcomed to join our General Meeting and experience firsthand what our Club is about. They attended the meeting and later engaged in conversations with our fellows, gaining insight into our activities and community spirit. We are grateful for their presence and interest and we sincerely hope to welcome them as future members as we continue working together to make a positive impact in the world.๐
