First Week of Orange NextGen Summer Camp

Last week marked the beginning of an exciting journey at the Orange NextGen Summer Camp, starting with orientation and a week of hands-on learning, curiosity, creativity, and growth.

Our young participants got introduced to an exciting world of technology, exploring 3D printing, Scratch coding, and web design, while dedicated trainers guided them through each session with passion and enthusiasm.

From their first ideas to their first creations, every question asked, challenge tackled, and skill learned was a step toward nurturing the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.

And now, a new week is kicking off with even more energy, excitement, and possibilities!

The journey has only just begun, and we can't wait to see what our young innovators create next.

Orange Social Venture Prize (OSVP) 2026

Yesterday, 3rd August, Orange Sierra Leone proudly hosted the 8th edition of the Orange Social Venture Prize (OSVP) 2026 Pitch Night, bringing together some of the brightest innovators in the country for an inspiring evening of bold ideas and purpose-driven entrepreneurship.

After an exciting round of pitches, MobiCare, led by Dr. Abdullah Osman Koroma, emerged as the Grand Prize Winner, receiving NLe 200,000, while Mi Fam, led by Fatmata Mariama Koroma, received the Women's Prize receiving NLe 120,000, in recognition of outstanding innovation and leadership.

The event was honoured by the presence of Deputy Minister of Technical and Higher Education Sarjoh Aziz Kamara, Orange Sierra Leone CEO Aïcha Touré, and Chargé d’Affaires of France Jean LAMY, reaffirming a shared commitment to advancing innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development in Sierra Leone.

Congratulations to the winners and all the finalists. Through your creativity and determination, you are shaping a more innovative, inclusive, and sustainable future for Sierra Leone.

Celebrating Culture, Embracing Diversity, Promoting Inclusion

Today, Orange Foundation Sierra Leone, in partnership with the Albinism Royal Foundation, hosted a Cultural Exhibition celebrating diversity and inclusion.

The event was graced by the Minister of Gender and Child Affairs, Madam Isata Mahoi, the Irish Ambassador, Patrick McManus, and the Chargé d'Affaires of France, Jean Lamy.

The exhibition provided a platform for persons with albinism and other disabilities to showcase and sell handcrafted cultural products, promoting entrepreneurship, economic empowerment, and greater appreciation of their talents.

Together, we continue to create opportunities where everyone can thrive.
