Daily Ausaf London: The annual meeting of Akhuwat Sweden was held in the hall of Fittja School, where the yearly elections took place and the performance report for the previous year was presented. Akhuwat Sweden’s General Secretary, Abrar Akbar, conducted the proceedings, while Treasurer Qaiser Mirza presented details of the funds received by Akhuwat and the expenditures, and also answered questions from the attendees. He stated that the donations received by Akhuwat have been continuously increasing.
Akhuwat’s accounts were thoroughly audited by Auditor Amir Sultan, who expressed complete satisfaction after a comprehensive review.
The President of Akhuwat Sweden, Arif Kisanaa, while presenting the performance of the past year, said that all collected funds were sent to Akhuwat Foundation Pakistan. Sacrificial meat was distributed among needy families. On Christmas, one month’s ration was provided to fifty deserving Christian families in Lahore. In Sweden, public awareness and welfare work was carried out through health seminars, and this effort will continue in the future as well.
The elections of Akhuwat were held under the supervision of Dr. Mohsin Salimi, and the members unanimously elected the following office‑bearers for the coming year:
- Vice President: Imran Khokhar
- Joint Secretary: Kahkashan Mian
- Finance Secretary: Qaiser Mirza
- Board Members/Styrelseledamöter: Yaseen Salimi, Qaiser Ghiyoor, Naveed Chaudhry, Sidra Qazi, and Morgan Bhatti
Meanwhile, President Arif Kisanaa and General Secretary Abrar Akbar had already been elected earlier for a two‑year term.
The Chairman of Akhuwat Foundation Pakistan, Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib, congratulated all newly elected office‑bearers and expressed hope that they would continue spreading the message of Akhuwat with the same passion, dedication, and commitment.
