Daily Ausaf London: The annual meeting of Akhuwat Sweden was held in the hall of Fittja School, where the yearly elections took place and the performance report for the previous year was presented. Akhuwat Sweden’s General Secretary, Abrar Akbar, conducted the proceedings, while Treasurer Qaiser Mirza presented details of the funds received by Akhuwat and the expenditures, and also answered questions from the attendees. He stated that the donations received by Akhuwat have been continuously increasing.

Akhuwat’s accounts were thoroughly audited by Auditor Amir Sultan, who expressed complete satisfaction after a comprehensive review.

The President of Akhuwat Sweden, Arif Kisanaa, while presenting the performance of the past year, said that all collected funds were sent to Akhuwat Foundation Pakistan. Sacrificial meat was distributed among needy families. On Christmas, one month’s ration was provided to fifty deserving Christian families in Lahore. In Sweden, public awareness and welfare work was carried out through health seminars, and this effort will continue in the future as well.

The elections of Akhuwat were held under the supervision of Dr. Mohsin Salimi, and the members unanimously elected the following office‑bearers for the coming year:
- Vice President: Imran Khokhar
- Joint Secretary: Kahkashan Mian
- Finance Secretary: Qaiser Mirza
- Board Members/Styrelseledamöter: Yaseen Salimi, Qaiser Ghiyoor, Naveed Chaudhry, Sidra Qazi, and Morgan Bhatti

Meanwhile, President Arif Kisanaa and General Secretary Abrar Akbar had already been elected earlier for a two‑year term.

The Chairman of Akhuwat Foundation Pakistan, Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib, congratulated all newly elected office‑bearers and expressed hope that they would continue spreading the message of Akhuwat with the same passion, dedication, and commitment.

Årsmötet

Akhuwat Swedens årsmöte hölls på Fittja skola där styrelsen samlades för att diskutera Akhuwats arbete, pågående projekt, ekonomi samt den nyvalda styrelsen för 2026–2027.

Under mötet gick vi igenom flera av de projekt och aktiviteter som Akhuwat Sweden genomfört under året. Bland annat har vi arbetat med donationer och utdelning av matpaket till kristna. Vi har även arrangerat en marknad där vi sålt second hand-kläder som vi fått in, och därefter skänkt intäkterna till Akhuwat Clothes Bank.

Dessutom har vi hållit olika seminarier, bland annat hälsoseminarier. Under mötet presenterades även resultatrapporten där vi redovisade vilka intäkter som kommit in och vilka summor som samlats in genom våra olika aktiviteter. Vi pratade också om det förtroende och stöd människor visar genom att bidra till vårt arbete och våra initiativ.

During the meeting, we reviewed several of the projects and activities carried out by Akhuwat Sweden during the year. These included donations and the distribution of food packages to Christians. We also organized a market where we sold donated second-hand clothes, and the proceeds were donated to the Akhuwat Clothes Bank.

In addition, we held various seminars, including health seminars. During the meeting, we also presented the financial report, reviewing the income received and the funds raised through our different activities. We discussed the trust and support that people continue to show towards our organization and its work.

We had a stall at a mela where we sold dresses generously donated by our members and other generous supporters. The collection featured a mix of both new and pre-used items, all contributed for a meaningful cause, our Akhuwat cloth bank.

We sold approximately 60 items, making the event a great success. We are truly grateful to everyone who donated clothes and supported us by purchasing items. Your support made a real difference!

It was good team work especially our women team did a great job.
​It served everyone giving those in need a dignified choice while giving others a way to live sustainably.
​This model fits so well with the local culture here. It really puts Akhuwat Sweden on the map as a thoughtful, socially responsible partner and other Akhuwat Chapters may follow it.
Devotion, Time and energy our team especially pur women members were the real "secret sauce" behind this success.

Summary – Akhuwat Clothes Bank Akhuwat Foundation collects donated clothes (new or used), washes, repairs, and distributes them for free to poor families in Pakistan. They also distribute shoes, toys, and household items. How it works * Collection – people donate clothes * Processing – clothes are washed, repaired, and packed * Distribution – sent to poor areas in Pakistan (e.g., Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan) Employees: Pakistani Transgender People A special part of the project is that they employ transgender people (khwajasira) who: * sort clothes * sew and repair clothes * wash and prepare clothes for distribution This provides them with jobs, income, and dignity. We will sell clothes today here in Sweden and the money will go to Akhuwat

We from Akhuwat will also be at Mela, and we will sell second-hand collected fancy dresses and send money to Pakistan. The money will go to the Akhuwat Cloth Bank in Pakistan.
