We are looking for 6 participants from Romania to join a Training Course in Greece!
The idea of the project is to develop an innovative training course that combines environmental sustainability with digital media tools, empowering youth workers to communicate eco-sustainability in creative and impactful ways. The project responds to the growing need for more effective climate communication, recognizing that environmental challenges require new approaches to engaging and inspiring communities. By equipping participants with practical digital skills and sustainable development knowledge, the course enables them to create compelling content, raise environmental awareness, and encourage young people to take an active role in building a more sustainable future.

Our fifth week of volunteering in Curtea de Argeș, Romania was another incredible step in this school restoration project, always under Raluca's excellent leadership. Throughout the days, the team worked with great energy and the overall progress was highly positive. We focused mainly on cutting the grass and clearing out the rubbish, but we also turned our hands to several other essential tasks to bring new life to the site.
In addition to our work at the school, Tuesday was a very special day as we also ran a project with children at the local library. To break up the work routine later in the week, Thursday afternoon was dedicated to socializing and learning, as we gathered to discover the secrets of bridge, the card game. The spirit of sharing continued in a big way on Friday with our multicultural event. Each volunteer brought typical dishes from their own country, turning the afternoon into a true feast of flavors, joy and cultural exchange.
The weekend started with a very special energy. On Saturday afternoon, our meeting point was the local museum, where we organized various fun and educational activities with the community's children, which was extremely rewarding. To top it all off, Sunday was a day for tourism and adventure: we visited the region's impressive dam and had the incredible opportunity to spot bears, among other fascinating sights and experiences.
It was, without a doubt, a week packed with different activities, learning and unforgettable moments, making this experience in Romania more and more memorable.

Hello everyone!
We’ve just wrapped up another busy week of volunteering here in Curtea de Argeș and we are really keeping the momentum going both on and off the project site.
Our week actually started with a journey. On Monday, we made our way back from Brașov after spending a wonderful weekend up in the mountains. We spent those days climbing and exploring the city, which was the perfect way to recharge before the workweek started.
By Tuesday, it was time to get back to the school in Dobroțul. We focused our efforts on the kindergarten room, spending the day scraping the walls to get the space prepped and ready for a fresh coat of paint. Wednesday brought some unexpected downtime, so we all stayed home to stay dry and rest up. On Thursday, the rest of the crew headed back to the school to push forward with the renovation work.
To wrap up the workweek on Friday, we all went out with Raluca for a casual catch-up. It was a really nice, relaxed setting to talk about the project, share what we’ve been enjoying so far and discuss some suggestions for the coming weeks.
Living here has been a great adventure so far. While the area has its unique challenges, the natural scenery is spectacular. We've spent time discovering the City of Brasov and the old churches and mountains are incredibly interesting and fascinating to see.
Connecting with the other volunteers has made this journey even better. Between our shifts at the school, we've been exploring the town, playing football with local residents and hanging out in the nearby cafes and markets, which has really brought us closer together.
A massive thank you goes out to Raluca, our coordinator. She has gone above and beyond to make us feel at home, guide us through the city, and introduce us to Romanian cuisine. We are so appreciative of her support in making this entire experience unforgettable.
It was a week filled with productivity, exploration, and great bonding, and I can't wait to see what the next few days bring!

We finished our third week in Curtea de Argeş. This week was more packed with work, events and adventure. As we get more used to the environment, we get to delve deeper into the culture and experience more in our volunteering.

For the third week, we planned to tidy the garden, organize two events and continue our progress with the work we started.

The garden had a lot of wild grass and plants that grew too much, even turning some areas into a swamp. Some of us were taking charge of this job. Cutting the grass then piled them to collect for the whole week. But as days passed, seeing the garden turn into a lively space for people was really satisfying and we saw the difference. Even though we finished most of the areas, it's still not fully done. Also, we planted flowers on the entrance path of the school. Can't wait to see them blossom!

We had two events. First one was an inter-generational game event where we put tables in the garden, put out our board games, drawings, puzzles and had such a fun time. Children, some parents and local volunteers attended the event. It was really great to meet more local people and hang out with them. Also, seeing the kids' laughter when we played games with them was worth all the effort. I enjoyed dodgeball the most.

Second event was watching a movie with the kids. We wanted to watch Shrek first and even one of our friends cosplayed Shrek, but because of technical difficulties, we watched Madagascar. Even with some fails, the event was nice and after the movie, we played games in the garden and had a great time.

For the weekend, we went to Braşov. We tried local foods, hiked to the top of the mountain and walked around the city. It was a really fun experience after a long week.

Overall, it's really nice to see the school turn into a more beautiful place day by day. It's truly a unique experience to have while bonding with the other volunteers and becoming like a family. We are truly grateful and are making life-lasting memories.

On May 8th, we closed the “Regenerate” project after months filled with activities, meetings, conversations and shared experiences between people of different generations.

Throughout the project, we created spaces where people could meet naturally, spend time together and exchange perspectives, stories and ideas. Some moments were light and fun, others led to deeper discussions, but all of them helped build genuine connections between participants.

One of the things we appreciated most was the atmosphere that formed over time. People became more open with each other, conversations felt honest and every activity brought a stronger sense of community. Seeing different generations interact without barriers reminded us how important these kinds of initiatives still are.

We ended the project with a movie night together, a simple and relaxed evening that reflected the atmosphere created during the whole project. People stayed together, talked, laughed and enjoyed the last moments of this experience.

Thank you to everyone who joined the “Regenerate” project and contributed through their time, energy and presence. We hope to continue organizing activities that bring people together, encourage dialogue between generations and create meaningful experiences within the community.

✨ A day about connection, energy and games that have no age limit

We had the chance to spend a few amazing hours outdoors together with nice people from different generations, all connected by the same thing: the joy of playing, laughing and spending time together 🤍☀️

Through interactive games and lots of good vibes, we discovered that age differences disappear very quickly and the joy of playing wins. It was the kind of activity where everyone had something to bring — energy, experience, ideas or simply a good mood.

We wanted to show the participants that simple outdoor games and shared experiences can bring them closer one to another in a very funny way. And honestly, that is exactly what happened . We laughed, collaborated, supported each other and created special moments.

We are really happy to have been part of this experience and we hope that activities like this will continue to bring more and more people together, regardless of age 🌍
