Another story about new ideas, creative moments and lots of energy!

This week, at EUROACT'KIDS, we welcomed a few colourful little ladybugs into our world through a creative craft activity. We also turned simple flowers into art for the amazing Lens of Nature Exhibition. In this way, we brought together photography and handmade creations.
We continued the programming lessons with a short working test in Scratch during our Active Coders Club, then switched from screens to chess boards and all kind of games, filling the week with fun and friendly competition.
And to finish in a relaxed way, we turned up the music, danced together and felt the rhythm! Sometimes the best way to end a busy week is simply to move, laugh and enjoy the moment together.

Every single day at EUROACT'KIDS brings a whole new story of learning and laughter!

Last week, our classrooms turned into craft workshops, tech labs and play zones. The children brought handmade nature landscapes and fish-filled aquariums to life, painted stories onto rocks and explored the basics of coding together. We also took care of our little feathered friends by crafting birdhouses from recycled bottles. We closed out the week with Caesar Cipher, a game where the kids used their brains and learned to send coded messages just like the Romans used to do.
We always find (or rather, we create) the right moments for outdoor team sports.

Watching this community of young creators grow is pure joy. If you are in the area, come join the fun and be part of our next week's journey!

Another great project came to an end, this time in Elafonisos, Greece! 🇬🇷

“Green Lens” brought together youth workers from Greece, Romania, Bulgaria and Spain for several days of learning, experimenting and exchanging ideas around sustainability and digital tools.

Participants worked with digital storytelling, video editing and artificial intelligence, looking at how these tools can help communicate environmental topics in a clearer and more engaging way for young people.

They also explored practical ways to include sustainability more consistently in youth work, while paying attention to accessibility, inclusion and the different realities young people face in their communities.

The experience in Elafonisos gave everyone new methods, fresh perspectives and useful materials to take back home and use in future activities with young people.

We are happy to have been part of it and curious to see how these ideas will continue in the local communities.

At the end of July, our Romanian team took part in “Human Rights 101” in Orahovica, Croatia 🇭🇷, together with young people from Croatia, Serbia, Hungary, Italy, Bulgaria and Austria.

The project focused on human rights and on the way they appear in everyday life. During the week, participants discussed different situations, shared opinions, worked in international groups and looked at topics such as equality, discrimination, minorities and the limits of individual freedom.

Some discussions were easy, others were not. People came with different experiences, different opinions and different ways of seeing the same issue, which made the conversations much more interesting.

The programme also included group challenges, creative activities and intercultural evenings, with plenty of time to get to know people from the other countries.

After one week in Orahovica, everyone went home with new people in their contacts, a better understanding of some difficult topics and probably a few more questions than before. 🇪🇺

Thank you@platypuszagreb for another great experience!

In June, three youth workers from Romania joined “Better Safe Than Sorry” in Wisła, Poland 🇵🇱, together with people from Poland, Serbia, Portugal, Greece and the Czech Republic.

For eight days, the group looked closely at something that is part of almost every day of our lives - the digital world.

They discussed social media, artificial intelligence, online manipulation, misinformation, phishing, privacy and cyberbullying, as well as less obvious issues such as digital fatigue, information overload, social comparison and the pressure of being constantly connected.

Through workshops, debates, case studies and group activities, participants had the chance to look at their own online habits and exchange experiences from their countries and organisations.

By the end of the project, they had become more aware of the digital environment around them, what they share, what they trust online, how technology affects their attention and well-being, and how they can use it in a safer and healthier way.

The project also gave them practical ideas and activities that they can now use with other young people in our community.

And since the project took place in Wisła, surrounded by the Silesian Beskids, there was also some time away from screens and a chance to enjoy the mountains.

A beautiful experience that we are very happy to have been part of. 💙

Another active week has come to an end in Dobrotu School, where children took part in a wide range of educational and recreational activities alongside our new team of volunteers.
Throughout the week, sports competitions, board games, creative workshops and the Coding and Robotics Club kept the children engaged and curious. The activities encouraged teamwork, problem solving and learning through participation, while giving everyone the chance to explore their interests in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Our volunteers have quickly become an important part of the daily programme. Together, they created opportunities for the children to practise their English through conversations and games, discover different cultures, and express their ideas with confidence. It has been encouraging to see how naturally the children connect with the volunteers and how eager they are to take part in each new activity.
One of the things that stood out this week was the atmosphere at the school. Children arrived every day looking forward to the activities, and many parents shared that it was not easy to convince them to go home once the programme had finished. For us, this is a meaningful sign that the school has become a welcoming place where children enjoy spending time together, learning, and trying new things.
On Friday, we ended the week with a film afternoon, watching an animated movie together. It was a simple way to relax after a busy week and a nice opportunity for everyone to spend time together before heading into the weekend.
Next week, we will continue with new activities and new learning opportunities, building on everything we have started together.
