Educator Academy | First Edition October 29, 2026

What better month to launch our first Educator Academy than October, when we celebrate teachers around the world and the extraordinary influence they have on generations of students?

Powered by ONOR Foundation, in collaboration with Dr. Debbie Parra, Ed.D., the Educator Academy is a professional development initiative within the Wings of Change educational ecosystem. It brings together current and aspiring educators to bridge educational theory with classroom practice, strengthen teaching strategies, and create more meaningful learning opportunities for students.

Dr. Parra brings decades of expertise in teaching, curriculum, and educational leadership, including her service as Assistant Superintendent at Clovis Unified School District and her current work preparing future educators at California State University, Fresno.

Through the Academy, participants will explore how literacy, STEM, environmental education, social emotional learning, and storytelling can connect across subjects. They will gain practical strategies for engaging diverse learners, strengthening critical thinking and communication skills, and incorporating adaptable resources into their classrooms.

Because when we invest in educators, we invest in every student they will one day teach. And when teachers find joy and purpose in what they do, they create classrooms where curiosity grows and children discover the joy of learning.

Happy World Teachers’ Day!

Some of the people who influence our lives the most are the teachers who saw something in us before we could see it ourselves.

They encouraged us to ask questions, try again, think differently, and believe that we were capable of more. Years later, we may not remember every lesson, but we remember the teachers who believed in us, encouraged us, and made a difference in who we became.

Today is a chance to thank them. To every teacher giving their time, knowledge, and heart to the next generation, thank you.

The next generation will enter a world fundamentally different from the one we inherited. Technology will not simply be a tool they use. It will increasingly shape how they learn, work, create, communicate, and solve problems. The question is no longer whether young people will work alongside intelligent technology, but how we prepare them to lead in a world transformed by it.

For Mihai Faur, Chief Information Officer at UiPath, that transformation has unfolded firsthand. He joined UiPath in 2015, when the company had just ten employees, and has been part of its remarkable evolution into a global technology company.

His journey across finance, operations, and technology offers a powerful perspective on the evolution from automation to agentic automation and the changing relationship between people and technology.

As machines become increasingly capable of doing so, the human ability to think critically, ask better questions, exercise judgment, communicate, adapt, and create becomes even more important.

For the next generation, preparing for the future cannot be only about learning the technology of today. It must be about developing the human capabilities that will allow them to navigate, question, and shape the technology of tomorrow.

Nellie Vived (Nellie Catherine Vived✨🔹⭐️) represents that spirit.

As the Founder and CEO of Activdate, a platform reimagining how people discover and coordinate real world experiences, Nellie has built an unconventional path shaped by curiosity. Her journey has taken her through ecology, wildlife biology, engineering, physics, aerospace, renewable energy, and STEM education.

She has captained boats in Santa Barbara, cared for exotic reptiles as a zookeeper, taught STEM, and delivered plasma lectures before NASA Artemis engineers. Rather than seeing these experiences as separate chapters, Nellie sees the connections between them and the questions they reveal about people, systems, and the world around us.

Her journey reflects something powerful about the next generation: the courage to explore beyond what is expected, the curiosity to connect ideas across disciplines, and the confidence to create something new from what they discover.

That exploration ultimately led Nellie to the concept of fractals, the power of participation, and the belief that strong communities can grow from countless small acts of human connection.

Through Activdate, she is turning those ideas into action, creating technology designed to help curiosity become participation, and participation become community.

Programs Designed to Build Pathways to Opportunity.

ONOR Foundation believes education becomes more powerful when it is connected to people, resources, and experiences that broaden what a young person can learn, explore, and pursue.

Our work begins in elementary schools because the early years are fundamental to what follows. We strengthen literacy, curiosity, character, and confidence, then continue that journey through mentorship, scholarships, leadership development, and real world learning.

We believe young people should not only be prepared academically. They should have opportunities to connect with role models and mentors, experience new environments, ask questions, discover their strengths, and understand where learning can take them.

That is who we are. That is what we do.

Because one opportunity can change a direction and shape a life.

For Oana A. Tucker, the story behind ONOR Foundation is not defined simply by where she came from or what she has accomplished. It is defined by what she chooses to do with the opportunities she was given.

Throughout her journey, educators, mentors, and leaders shared their knowledge, offered guidance, believed in her potential, and helped shape what became possible.
Those experiences left her with more than gratitude. They created a responsibility to give back.

That responsibility influences how ONOR works today.

In the ONOR Podcast, internationally acclaimed artist Alexandra Nechita (🧿 Alexandra Nechita 🌻 and Nechita Studio) reflects on the journey from early fame to building a life defined by artistic freedom, curiosity, and the courage to evolve.

“My biggest advice is not to be scared to be that multi-hyphenate… If you want to paint a painting today and tomorrow sculpt a vase, and next week host a podcast and Monday do a makeup tutorial, go for it. Those are part of what builds who you are and, in turn, the art you create and the work people experience and enjoy.”

From Cubism on canvas to sculpture and public art, Alexandra shows coming generations that they do not have to choose only one path. Every interest, experience, and creative impulse becomes part of their voice.
