We are delighted to officially announce The Portugal News as the Sovereign Art Foundation Portugal’s 2026 Media Sponsor.

One week to go until ReWORN: Fashion with a Future in Lisbon.

The Sovereign Art Foundation Portugal, in collaboration with Dona Ajuda is hosting a free afternoon exploring sustainability in fashion through creativity, conversation and community.

Taking place on March 14 from 14:00–18:00, the programme includes a children’s textile workshop, a panel discussion with industry voices and a curated fashion show styled entirely from Dona Ajuda’s second-hand collection.

We are pleased to introduce the speakers joining our panel discussion on conscious fashion:

Sulakshana Chemudupati – Avant Green
Founder of Green, a sustainability consultancy working with startups and SMEs across Portugal and India. Sulakshana brings over 15 years of experience in fashion design and product development, helping businesses translate sustainability ambitions into practical strategies.

The discussion will be moderated by Eliette Rosich, a Lisbon-based fashion production specialist and creative strategist whose career spans global brands including Evisu, Ralph Lauren, Burberry and GAP.

Alongside the panel, the afternoon also includes a free textile workshop for children aged 7–14, led by multidisciplinary artist Sharker Nasrin, exploring creative upcycling and visible mending.

The workshop takes place before our panel discussion and fashion show, so families are welcome to stay and experience the wider event.

💫Working together around one table, each person created their own interpretation using mixed media in a slow and intentional way.
