Lisbon Street Photo Fest is run by a team of dedicated volunteers, brought together by a shared desire to create the kind of photography festival we wanted to see in Lisbon: open, generous, accessible, and built around a real sense of community.
There are countless hours behind these three days. Evenings, weekends, messages at impossible hours, problems solved at the last minute. But we don’t think of that time as sacrificed. It’s time we choose to give to something we believe in, and seeing what happened this weekend made every hour worth it.
To our guests, sponsors and partners; to our volunteers; to our friends and families; and to every person who came, participated, exhibited, spoke, listened, helped, encouraged us, gave us a kind word or simply stopped us in a corridor for a hug: thank you.
At the root of the Portuguese word “obrigado” is the idea of being indebted to someone for a kindness received — a gesture that creates a bond between people, and one that we, someday, hope to return.
We leave this edition feeling very thankful to all of you. 💛
