East-West Center Graduate Degree Fellowship
The East-West Center (EWC) Graduate Degree Fellowship supports eligible students from Asia, the Pacific, and the United States while they undertake graduate studies at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa (UHM).
More than just academic funding, the fellowship offers a unique international community where fellows can develop leadership skills, participate in cultural exchange, engage in community service, and build lifelong connections with people from across the Indo-Pacific region. 🌏
💰 Fellowship Benefits
The award provides support for:
• General tuition and fees for eligible UHM graduate programs
• Accommodation in an East-West Center residence hall
• Partial support for incidental expenses
• Competitive funding opportunities for field study and conference presentations
📌 Please note that some professional programs may have additional tuition or professional fees that are not fully covered by the fellowship.
🌍 Who Can Apply?
• U.S. citizens or permanent residents
• Citizens of eligible countries across Asia and the Pacific, including Russia
All 11 ASEAN Member States are eligible for the fellowship as well.
