Tomorrow, June 13th, Lisbon and many parts of the country come alive to celebrate Saint Anthony’s Day!

Born in Lisbon, Saint Anthony is the city's patron saint, the ultimate matchmaker, and the reason behind Portugal's most vibrant street parties (Festas Populares).

From the colorful Marchas Populares parades to the traditional Casamentos de Santo António (collective weddings), our streets are filled with music, dancing, and joy.

If you are traveling through Portugal right now, make sure to find a local arraial (street party), try a grilled sardine on bread, and buy a potted bush of manjerico (sweet basil) with a love poem attached! 💚❤️
