Prolonging life or extending youth? The two peaks of aging. Precision Biologics.

Last night we got an insider pass into the rapidly evolving Longevity discipline by one of Portugal’s top authorities on the subject, Dra. Joana Costa.

Our first Longevity Series gathering at B-Life Clinic in Cascais was an absolute hit. The insight packed presentation on the cutting edge of Longevity science captivated minds and the delicious reception at B-Life Kitchen that followed helped us make sense of some of the burning questions on our minds.

A HUGE Thank You to B-Life and Dra Joana for this incredible event. We already have our next event, in July, on the books - subscribe to our Luma calendar to make sure you don’t miss out.

Love and innovation don’t often share the same stage. On May 24th, TEDxMarvila changes that.

Red Bridge is proud to support TEDxMarvila’s flagship event at Pátio da Galé — themed What Is Love — a question that turns out to be surprisingly relevant to what we do every day.

Building bridges between Lisbon and Silicon Valley requires something beyond deal flow and warm intros. It requires people who care enough to show up, to listen, to build something that lasts.

TEDxMarvila is exploring exactly that — how love, in its broadest sense, shapes technology, community, and the way we move through an increasingly connected world.

We’ll see you there ♥️

Longevity is the word of the moment. But somewhere between the cold plunges, the supplements, and the biohacking rabbit holes — the actual conversation got lost.

Our March event was an overview of the budding Longevity ecosystem of Lisbon.
Founders, emerging brands, and solutions being built. Now we’re getting specific.

If you’re over 40, what should you actually be paying attention to?

Not the trends. Not the noise.
The things that genuinely move the needle — for your body, your energy, the way you age.

We’re bringing that conversation to Cascais Marina on May 21st, with Dr. Joana Costa of B-Life, one of Portugal’s top voices in preventive medicine. Intimate setting, real questions, no lecture.

This one is open to the public — and almost full.

Our May 13th Member Roundtable will shed light on the often overlooked growth lever: government contracts.

Lead by Tim Ward, the founder of Bid Buddy, which combines human based experience with AI led technology to help founders find and bid on government procurement opportunities.

In his career spanning over 20 years, Tim has overseen £40B in global government contract wins.

He’s joining us to break down how founders can access and win public procurement.

These roundtable sessions are community favorites. They embody the essence of Red Bridge - our cross-border community in an intimate setting that always turns a presentation into a vibrant exchange of ideas.

If you're a member, sign up on Luma, and for non-members, we have great public events in store this month.

What happens when you take founders out of their roles — and out of their phones?

Last night at RedBridge, we hosted a salon at Absent in Lisbon — a deliberately offline space designed for presence, not productivity.

No devices. No distractions.

We didn’t start with conversation.

We started with a somatic experience —
an invitation to step out of the “small self” shaped by timelines and expectations,
and into something broader.

From there, participants looked at their work again:

Through who they are today.
Through who they could be.
And in relation to what the world actually needs.

What followed were real shifts.

Projects that felt tactical became meaningful.
Ideas sharpened.
In some cases, entirely new directions emerged.

You could see people reconnecting with their work —
not just as builders, but as humans.

It reinforced something we see again and again at RedBridge:

The network is the asset.
But it only comes alive when people meet each other beyond their roles.

We’re building RedBridge around exactly this.

A more immersive member experience —
from small, curated salons like this,
to member-led roundtables, coworking days, and social gatherings —
designed to create multiple layers of connection within the community.

RedBridge is where ambitious people don’t just exchange ideas, but expand how they think about what they’re building and why.

Longevity is having a moment.

But most of what we see are trends.

Cold plunges.
Supplements.
Biohacking routines.

Meanwhile, something more serious is happening.

A new generation of European founders is building the infrastructure of longevity.

New clinics.
New health models.
New ways of thinking about prevention, performance, and long-term wellbeing.

Portugal is quietly becoming part of that story.

At Red Bridge, we’re bringing together two people building in this space:

Sebastian Rinnebach — Founder of 59Breaths, a breathing and biofeedback platform helping people train stress resilience and mental clarity.
Dr. Joana Costa — Co-Founder & Clinical Director of B-Life Clinic, a precision medicine clinic pioneering preventive health, biomarker-driven diagnostics, and long-term healthspan optimization.

Moderated by Nina Patrick, PhD, longevity writer and former biotech founder.

For our members, this event is also special because it marks the beginning of our partnership with B-Life.

Not the trends.

The infrastructure.

If you want to understand where food is going, put an investor and a biotech founder in a room full of foodies.

The future of food isn’t a straight line. It’s a debate.

Last night’s edition at Red Bridge brought a different crowd into the room.

Alongside our regular mix of founders, investors, and tech operators, we welcomed foodies, vegans, and the simply curious.

A full house — and a full spectrum of opinions.

Because food is never just sustenance.
It’s heritage.
It’s identity.
It carries memory and emotion.

The tension between optimism and realism made the conversation sharper.

We challenged our tastebuds as well as our thinking — passing around wasabi popcorn from and washing it down with pomegranate cider from .pt . A small reminder that experimentation doesn’t only happen in labs.

Innovation in food isn’t just a technical problem. It’s behavioral, emotional, economic. The future will likely be hybrid — not only in ingredients, but in ideas.

We were back for the second time at the beautiful — and once again, the setting elevated the conversation. Thoughtfully designed, warm, and human-scaled, it’s a space that makes debate feel constructive rather than combative. We’re looking forward to building more together in the months ahead.

Thank you to the Red Bridge team for bringing the evening to life — and to everyone who showed up ready to question, challenge, and taste what might come next.

Tasting innovation 🍷

Not metaphorically. Literally.

On Feb 26, we’re exploring the future of food — and drinking organic pomegranate wine while we do it.

From cultivated meat backed in Silicon Valley
to single-cell protein scaling in Lisbon
to AI upgrading food factories
(and hopefully cell-based seafood from Portugal)

The new food frontier is being built right now — between Berkeley, Hamburg, and Lisbon.

We’ll talk about what it really takes to move from lab → pilot plant → supermarket shelf.

And yes, we’ll taste something unexpected along the way.

Silicon Valley × Portugal
Protein × Platforms
Curiosity × Conversation

Come hungry. Come curious.
