No bee makes honey alone.
Chris Park, joined us as a knowledgeable expert who makes his own honey and mead back on his own land in Oxfordshire this Primal Gathering at Sheepdrove Organic Farm organic farm.
He shared with us,
That one bee, in her whole life, makes about a twelfth of a teaspoon. The jar on your table is the work of thousands.
The bees know the few miles around them flower by flower. When one finds blossom, she flies home and dances the way there, so her sisters can find it too.
They take what the land offers and leave it more fertile than they found it. Every flower they feed from, they help to seed.
When the cold comes, they gather close and take turns at the edge, so no one carries the winter alone.
