O tamanho da mama não revela o tamanho da glândula mamária, esse sim responsável pela produção de leite. Mães com peitos de todos os tamanhos amamentam com sucesso!
One of the biggest breastfeeding myths is that milk-making ability is measured in cup sizes.
It's not.
Breast size is mostly determined by fat tissue. The milk-producing glands that make breast milk can exist in small breasts, large breasts, and everything in between.
In other words...
Your baby doesn't care about your bra size.
They care about whether the milk factory is open for business.
And for so many moms, the fear starts before the baby is even born:
"My b***s are too small." "I don't think I'll be able to make enough milk." "My sister couldn't breastfeed, so I probably won't be able to either."
Meanwhile, babies everywhere are just like:
"Ma'am, I did not ask for a storage unit. I asked for a milk factory."
💡 A smaller breast may store less milk at one time, but that doesn't automatically mean it produces less milk overall. Breasts are factories, not warehouses.
So if you've ever looked down at your chest and wondered if your body was enough...
Please hear this:
Your worth is not measured in ounces. Your ability is not measured in cup sizes. And your breasts don't have to be big to do something incredible.
