For the past months we (Ashray and Rosanna) had been organizing regular meetups, other events and coworkingdays for Digital Nomads in Lisbon. Our goal for that was to give people an excuse to get together, make meaningful professional and personal connections with other nomads, expats and locals, and give people an opportunity to explore Lisbon and everything it has to offer together. While organi
zing the weekly Free coworking days, we stumbled upon an opportunity to take over a brand new space called hOurspace. We imagined that if there was a physical space where we could offer those same things to the nomad community, in addition to a place to get work done, we could:
1) Continue at being more effective in our goal to connect people
2) Have an HQ to work from on our other projects ourselves, alongside interesting people
3) Have a physical space to exchange skills, ideas and learn new things from each other
4) Give the new space hOurspace momentum and increase their customer base by the time we give back the engine keys
5) Have an exciting new experience ourselves, having been users of a combined number of 60+ coworking spaces around the world
And this is what the Nomad Takeover with hOurspace will be all about
A space where you can meet nomads on the day that you arrive. Work together alongside inspiring locals and other nomads and then hang out together during the evenings.
