📍 Ontem, a Organização Internacional para as Migrações (OIM), em parceria com a Ordem dos Advogados, promoveu a conferência “O Novo Pacto Europeu para a Migração e Asilo: Aspetos de Relevo para Advogados”, integrada nas Conferências do Centenário da OA, reunindo 58 participantes.
A iniciativa contou com representantes da OIM, do Conselho Superior e da Comissão de Direitos Humanos da OA, bem como do Conselho Superior da Magistratura, PSP, ACNUR e Mecanismo Nacional de Prevenção, promovendo um espaço de diálogo sobre os desafios e impactos do Novo Pacto Europeu para a Migração e Asilo.
A OIM agradece à OA, aos oradores e participantes pelo compromisso com uma abordagem à migração assente nos direitos humanos, cooperação institucional e reforço de capacidades.
Esta iniciativa foi organizada no âmbito do projeto Direitos sem Fronteiras, cofinanciado pelo FAMI e pela PSP.
📍 Yesterday, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), in partnership with the Portuguese Bar Association, held the conference “The New European Pact on Migration and Asylum: Key Aspects for Lawyers”, as part of the Bar Association’s Centenary Conference Series, bringing together 58 participants.
The initiative gathered representatives from IOM, the General Council and Human Rights Commission of the Portuguese Bar Association, as well as the High Council for the Judiciary, PSP, UNHCR and the National Preventive Mechanism, fostering dialogue on the challenges and implications of the New European Pact on Migration and Asylum.
IOM thanks the Portuguese Bar Association, speakers and participants for their commitment to a migration approach grounded in human rights, institutional cooperation and capacity-building.
This initiative was organized within the Rights Without Borders project, co-funded by AMIF and PSP.
