𝐘𝐀𝐓𝐀 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐭𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

On the 18th of April, in the Hague, YATA Portugal attended this year's Atlantic Assembly, celebrating 20 years of existence of Jonge Atlantici/Young Atlantic Association.

YATA Portugal was represented by Francisco Nobre, President of YATA International and YATA Portugal.

The event was a great chance to engage in thought-provoking panels, interactive war games and exciting discussions with fellow colleagues.

Congratulations to Jonge Atlantici and Lotte van den Boom, Chair of Jonge Atlantici, for such a fantastic initiative. Cheers to more years of success!

𝐘𝐀𝐓𝐀 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐭 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐒𝐞𝐜 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

From the 10th to the 12th of April, in Oslo, YATA Portugal attended this year’s NorSec - Nordic Security Conference organised by YATA Norway.

YATA Portugal was represented by its Vice-President, Mariana André, and Member Gonçalo Oliveira.

Over the weekend we had the chance to several interesting panel discussions on topics such as hybrid threats, the future of diplomacy, and the High North. The Conference was a great chance to gather valuable insights from high-level speakers, such as Espen Barth Eide, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway, and Ingrid Greece, Chief of the Norwegian Defence Staff.

Congratulations to all YATA Norway team and especially to its President Richard Federhofer for this great event.

𝐃𝐢𝐚 𝐝𝐚 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐎 | 𝐀𝐮𝐥𝐚 𝐀𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚

Esta semana a AJPA/YATA Portugal organizou uma aula aberta na Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, no âmbito do mês que marca o dia da NATO. O dia da NATO envolveu estudantes da licenciatura em Relações Internacionais da instituição de ensino.

Esta iniciativa permitiu oferecer aos jovens alunos um olhar sobre o estado da Aliança e o papel transatlântico do nosso país. A aula foi orientada pelos membros da Comissão Executiva da YATA Portugal, Miguel Moreira e Miguel Toscano.

Foi uma grande oportunidade para aprender mais sobre a NATO, desde a sua criação, até aos tempos atuais; bem como discutir e trocar ideias sobre o futuro da organização e de Portugal neste contexto.

Agradecemos alunos pelos seu interesse e participação, e em especial ao professor Luís Bernardino pela sua disponibilidade e pelo contínuo apoio à nossa associação e atividades.

Hoje celebramos o Dia da NATO, numa data que assinala os 77 anos desde a assinatura do Tratado do Atlântico Norte.

Ao longo das décadas a Aliança tem sido um espaço de diálogo, cooperação e compromisso para com a paz e segurança internacional.
