Ricardo Pereira, Presidente da AMER - Mozambican Renewable Energy, destaca a importância da 3ª edição do Fórum Bi-Anual de Energia Fora da Rede para aproximar Governo, sector privado, financiadores e parceiros de desenvolvimento em torno de soluções concretas para o sector. ⚡

💬 “Esta edição do Fórum mostrou a evolução e, sobretudo, a crescente maturidade do sector de energia fora da rede em Moçambique.”

🌍 Organizado pelo MIREME, em colaboração com o FUNAE e a AMER, o Fórum decorreu entre os dias 8 e 9 de Outubro, em Maputo, contribuindo para reforçar a coordenação sectorial e definir prioridades para acelerar a electrificação rural em Moçambique.

💬 “Ao longo dos dois dias, conseguimos olhar para os principais desafios e oportunidades do mercado, desde mini-redes, sistemas solares domésticos, cozinha limpa e usos produtivos de energia, até financiamento, desenvolvimento empresarial, ambiente, segurança, regulação e gestão de resíduos.”

🤝 O desafio passa agora por transformar as prioridades identificadas em acções concretas que fortaleçam as empresas, mobilizem investimento e acelerem o acesso universal, sustentável e inclusivo à energia.

💬 “This edition of the Forum showed the progress and, above all, the growing maturity of the off-grid energy sector in Mozambique.”

🌍 Organized by MIREME, in collaboration with FUNAE and AMER, the Forum took place on 8 and 9 October in Maputo, contributing to strengthening sector coordination and defining priorities to accelerate rural electrification in Mozambique.

💬 “Over the two days, we were able to examine the main challenges and opportunities facing the market, from mini-grids, stand-alone solar systems, clean cooking and productive uses of energy, to financing, business development, environment, security, regulation and waste management.”

🤝 The challenge now is to turn the identified priorities into concrete actions that strengthen businesses, mobilize investment and accelerate universal, sustainable and inclusive energy access.

⚡ Com mais de 99% das cidades e aldeias já abrangidas por acesso à electricidade, Timor-Leste prepara uma nova fase do seu desenvolvimento energético.

🌍 O lançamento do Plano Nacional de Médio Prazo 2027-2030, o acordo de assistência técnica com a IFC - International Finance Corporation para preparar projectos eólicos e a participação na Reunião dos Ministros da Energia da ASEAN demonstram uma aposta crescente nas energias renováveis, na mobilização de investimento privado e na cooperação regional.

🤝 As parcerias público-privadas e o desenvolvimento de novos projectos de energias renováveis assumem um papel central nesta estratégia, criando condições para diversificar a economia, reforçar a segurança energética e promover um crescimento mais sustentável nos próximos anos.

⚡ With more than 99% of cities and villages already connected to electricity, Timor-Leste is preparing a new phase of its energy development.

🌍 The launch of the 2027–2030 Medium-Term National Plan, the technical assistance agreement with IFC - International Finance Corporation to prepare wind energy projects, and participation in the ASEAN Energy Ministers Meeting demonstrate a growing commitment to renewable energy, private investment mobilisation and regional cooperation.

🤝 Public-private partnerships and the development of new renewable energy projects are central to this strategy, creating the conditions needed to diversify the economy, strengthen energy security and support more sustainable growth in the years ahead.

⚡ Em 2025, foram adicionados 693GW de nova capacidade renovável, elevando a capacidade instalada mundial para 5,15TW.

📈 Apesar deste crescimento recorde, o investimento em redes eléctricas, armazenamento e flexibilidade dos sistemas energéticos continua aquém do necessário para cumprir os objectivos globais definidos para 2030.

🌍 Durante a Global Renewables Summit, líderes governamentais, empresas e instituições financeiras reforçaram o apelo à mobilização de investimento em energias renováveis, electrificação, eficiência energética e infra-estruturas de rede – colocando a electrificação entre as prioridades no caminho para a COP31 .

⚡ In 2025, 693GW of new renewable capacity were added, increasing total installed renewable capacity worldwide to 5.15 TW.
📈 Despite this record growth, investment in grids, storage and energy system flexibility remains below the level required to meet the global targets set for 2030.

🌍 During the Global Renewables Summit, government leaders, businesses and financial institutions renewed calls for greater investment in renewable energy, electrification, energy efficiency and grid infrastructure – placing electrification among the priorities on the road to COP31.
