The International Dialogue Centre (KAICIID) The Centre also combats all forms of discrimination based on culture, religion or belief.

KAICIID is an intergovernmental organization whose mandate is to promote the use of dialogue globally to prevent and resolve conflict, to enhance understanding and cooperation. KAICIID’s mandate is to foster dialogue among people of different religions and cultures to build bridges and instil mutual respect. Intercultural and interreligious dialogue helps build communities’ resistance against prej

udice, strengthens social cohesion, supports conflict prevention, and can serve to preserve peace. As an international organization, KAICIID supports the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, in particular the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion. We implement programmes to overcome stereotypes in a long-term process that leads to a culture of dialogue that enables greater understanding of people of other cultures and followers of other religions.

Next stop: Bangkok! 🌏

This June, KAICIID is bringing together 22 young leaders from across Southeast Asia for our "Dialogue in Action" training, in partnership with the พระมหานภันต์ สกพ. - Ven.Napan IBHAP from มูลนิธิ สกพ. - IBHAP Foundation and collaboration with Ima Abdulrahim from Cerita Caravan.

By connecting the drive and ambition of young people together with the wisdom and trust embedded in faith communities, dialogue will not longer be a symbolic gesture. It will lead to local solutions and inter-generational action✨

From theory to real-world impact! 🌍

Our KAICIID Fellows gathered in Addis Ababa, transitioning from online learning into practical, hands-on peacebuilding training.

They strengthened vital skills in conflict analysis, facilitation, and active listening, while engaging directly with local communities and African Union institutions. Now, they are ready to implement concrete dialogue initiatives back home! 🤝

KAICIID hosted ambassadors from the Latin American and Caribbean Diplomatic Corps (GRULAC) in Lisbon to discuss how interreligious dialogue can strengthen traditional diplomacy. 🌍

Convened with the support of Peru's Ambassador Carlos Manuel Gil de Montes Molinari, this Ambassadorial Dialogue focused on practical solutions for regional challenges, including social polarization, climate pressures, and the protection of Indigenous communities. 🤝

Together, we are creating spaces where dialogue prevents tension and builds more inclusive societies.✨

A look back at the highlights of the 2026 ! 🎥🏛️

Along with we brought together global voices at the National Palace of Mafra to discuss the future of multilateralism and peace.

A major milestone of this edition was the strengthening of our mission through the signing of a strategic partnership with IPDAL, focusing on cooperation across Latin America and the CPLP.

As emphasized by Ambassador António de Almeida Ribeiro, KAICIID’s Acting Secretary General, dialogue is not just an intention—it is a practical and essential tool for building bridges between diplomacy and societies in an increasingly polarized world. 🤝🌍
