𝐏𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐂 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐓𝐇 𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐇 𝐈𝐍 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐀𝐅𝐔𝐍𝐀𝐍 𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓 – 𝐎𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐁𝐄𝐑 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

The Public Health Society successfully conducted outreach activities today, October 1, 2026, with the 4th Year BS Public Health students at Annafunan East Core Shelter, Annafunan East, Tuguegarao City, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and community awareness.

The program featured “Stop HFMD: Community Training and Demonstration on Prevention and Control,” followed by “Healthy Liver, Healthy Life: Training and Demonstration on Hepatitis Prevention.” The activities were conducted with the guidance of Sir Beaver Philip Barro, Sir Jay Abad, & Maam Rizalyn Joy Besa providing community members with relevant information and practical demonstrations on preventing these health concerns.

Through this outreach, the 4th Year Public Health students were able to share important health information and preventive practices with the community. Activities like these help bring health education closer to the people and encourage everyone to take part in keeping their community healthy.

Behind every smile may be a story of strength, fear, hope, and courage. Breast cancer can affect anyone, and every person facing it deserves understanding, support, and compassion. Let this month remind us to stay informed, encourage early detection, and stand with those fighting battles we may never see.

𝙏𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙁𝙐𝙍 𝙖 𝙍𝘼𝘽𝙄𝙀𝙎-𝙁𝙍𝙀𝙀 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮!

Rabies is something we often don’t think about until it’s too late. Today, 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 we celebrate 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙍𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝘿𝙖𝙮, a reminder that rabies is one of the world’s deadliest diseases, but also one that is 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲. Every year, around 𝟱𝟵,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲, with children making up nearly half of these deaths.

But through responsible pet ownership, regular vaccination, awareness, and immediate medical care after a possible exposure, these deaths can be prevented. Let’s educate ourselves, protect our animals, and act quickly when it matters.

The 4th Batch of graduates has achieved an incredible 100% Passing Rate in the National Competency Assessment in Caregiving (Elderly) NC II held at Bejarin Training Institute Inc., Rizal (Pobl.), Saguday, Quirino, on September 26 & 27, 2026, proving once again the standard of excellence upheld by our graduates.

This perfect sweep reflects the countless hours of studying, hard work, and deep dedication our students possess for the care of the elderly and the community.

With every single candidate rising to the challenge, our new caregivers are fully equipped, certified, and ready to make a meaningful impact in the healthcare field.
