DAVAO CITY, Philippines — The Tagum City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (TCCCII) participated in the Mindanao Development Forum (MDF) 2026, held on October 27–28, 2026, at Dusit Thani, Davao City.

Carrying the theme, “Mindanao’s Next Growth Chapter: Mobilizing Private Sector and Development Partnerships for Shared Prosperity,” the forum brought together business leaders, government representatives, and development partners to discuss strategies for advancing Mindanao's economic growth.

The discussions highlighted investment opportunities, public-private partnerships, agricultural development, renewable energy, infrastructure, and other initiatives that can strengthen the region's competitiveness.

Through its participation, TCCCII continues to support initiatives that connect the local business community with regional opportunities, encourage collaboration, and promote sustainable economic development.

As Tagum City moves forward, the Chamber remains committed to being an active partner in building a stronger business environment and contributing to Mindanao's shared prosperity.

The Tagum City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (TCCCII) proudly celebrates the successful blessing of its new office on October 26, 2026, located at the Pasalubong Center, Energy Park, Apokon, Tagum City, sharing the space with the Tagum Hub for Research, Innovation, Venture, and Entrepreneurship (THRIVE).

This milestone marks more than just a new office for the Chamber. It represents a stronger partnership between the public and private sectors, paving the way for greater collaboration in promoting innovation, supporting startups, empowering entrepreneurs, and creating more opportunities for the business community of Tagum City.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to City Mayor Rey T. Uy for making this opportunity possible and for his continued support of the local business community. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod (City Council) for their support and commitment to initiatives that promote the growth and development of Tagum City. Our thanks also go to the Tagum City Business and Investment Center (TCBIC), headed by Engr. Franz Gregory Naylon, and to all the individuals, offices, partners, and people behind this meaningful achievement.

The first-ever Start in DavNor 2026: The Grand Pitching successfully brought together aspiring innovators and entrepreneurs to present their innovative ideas and business concepts, demonstrating the potential of local ingenuity to drive economic development and entrepreneurship in Davao del Norte.

The activity was facilitated by Vice Governor's Office led by Vice Governor Clarice T. Jubahib and the Davao del Norte Investment Promotion Center (DNIPC), led by Ms. Joevynar M. Miedes, MBA, DMO IV, LEDIPO-Designate. The program featured the presentation of entries, evaluation by the panel of judges, deliberation, and debriefing as part of the selection process.

On September 29, 2026, the Tagum City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (TCCCII) welcomed the delegation from the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Davao City for a meeting to explore trade, investment, and business collaboration opportunities.

The delegation was led by Ms. Marya Onny Silaban, Consul for Economic Affairs, together with Mr. Algen Landas and Mr. Chrisanto Burongan, Technical Staff.

Welcoming the delegation were Mr. Rob Y. Perez, President of TCCCII, together with Mr. Elbert G. Ponce, Vice President for Agriculture and Resource Industries; Mr. Genedel S. Aala, Treasurer; and Executive Director Geraldine Jay C. Ballentos.

Discussions focused on potential business linkages in medical devices and healthcare supplies, participation in the 41st Trade Expo Indonesia (October 14–19, 2026), and opportunities for collaboration in the Halal industry and other sectors of mutual interest.

This engagement reinforces TCCCII’s commitment to expanding international partnerships and creating new opportunities for Tagum City businesses.

The Tagum City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (TCCCII) participated in the 52nd Philippine Business Conference & Expo (PBC&E), held on October 13–14, 2026, at The Manila Hotel, Manila, under the theme “Raising the Bar: Empowering Business for a Resilient Future.”

As part of the pre-conference activities, TCCCII also attended the National Chamber Development Forum on October 12, 2026, which provided an opportunity for chamber leaders to exchange insights, strengthen institutional capabilities, and explore ways to better serve their respective business communities.

A notable highlight of the event was the Special Recognition awarded to TCCCII as a finalist in the 2026 Most Outstanding Chamber Awards (MOCA). This recognition reflects the Chamber’s continuing commitment to advancing local business development, strengthening partnerships, and implementing initiatives that contribute to the growth of Tagum City’s business community.

Meanwhile, the Tagum City Chamber was represented by its President, Mr. Rob Y. Perez; Mr. Elbert G. Ponce, Vice President for Agriculture and Resource Industries; Ms. Admarie D. Marcelo, CPA, Vice President for Finance and Technology; and Ms. Geraldine Jay C. Ballentos, Executive Director.

Organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), the conference brought together business leaders, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to discuss strategies for strengthening enterprise resilience, enhancing competitiveness, and advancing economic growth.

Being part of the Chamber means being part of a collective effort to represent the interests of the business community, build meaningful partnerships, and create opportunities for local enterprises. Participating in major gatherings such as the PBC&E allows TCCCII to connect with industry leaders from across the country, exchange ideas, gain valuable insights, and bring home perspectives and opportunities that can contribute to the growth of businesses in Tagum City and the wider Davao del Norte community.
