Last April 18, 2026, PHILGBC supported the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) in partnership with NEO Office PH for its Green Building Tour. The tour is part of the UAP National Convention 51.

Welcoming the UAP delegates to Six/NEO and Seven/NEO, Mr. Raymond Rufino shared what drives NEOโ€™s sustainability journey and their vision for creating net zero, healthy, and sustainable workplaces. Mr. Christopher de la Cruz applauded NEO's sustainability leadership, exemplified through their commitment and continued delivery of certified green building projects. Leading UAP's delegation, Ms. Vanessa Ledesma, VP of Area B, expressed her appreciation to both NEO and PHILGBC for supporting UAP NATCON, and for providing the opportunity for member Filipino architects to experience certified green building operations projects.

Six/NEO and Seven/NEO are both BERDE 5-Stars and ANZ/PH Net Zero Energy projects. The delegates experienced the design features and observed the improved operations in these buildings, including the use of EV charging ports, enhanced building envelope and green roof, use of recycled and reused materials, and featured Filipino artworks and promotion of Filipino culture. This visit highlighted NEO's commitment to the care for its tenants well-being and dedication to sustainability.

Green buildings create green jobs, and green jobs are powered by the labor and skills of people across the entire building sector.

Across the building lifecycleโ€”from design and construction to daily operationsโ€”every contribution matters. From developers, planners, architects, engineers, sustainability advocates, manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, laborers, and on-site workers whose hands bring plans to life, the building industry works as one to shape a sustainable built environment.

This Labor Day, PHILGBC honors every worker across the building value chain who helps reduce emissions, conserve resources, and create healthier spaces for everyone. Together, you are not just constructing buildingsโ€”you are building a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient Philippines. ๐ŸŒŽ๐Ÿ’š
