The Human Resource Educators’ Association of the Philippines awarded “The Outstanding Human Resource Students of the Philippines 2024-2025” on March 20, 2026, at F1 Hotel Manila, Bonifacio Global City.

The event recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exemplary academic performance, leadership, and community involvement. These outstanding students embody the values of integrity, competence, and selfless service.

HREAP joins in this milestone, not only celebrating their personal achievements but also acknowledging their potential to become transformative leaders in the field of human resource management. Lito C. Gallego Jr. | Mindanao State University–General Santos

Lito C. Gallego Jr. of Mindanao State University–General Santos is an Iskolar ng Bayan, former student leader, and currently a lecturer. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Business Adminstration major in Human Resource Management, and received the College Leadership Award in 2024.

A Certified Human Resource Associate (CHRA), he has built a strong foundation in organizational management, grounded in academic excellence as a consistent Chancellor’s and Dean’s List awardee and enriched by leadership roles in MSU-GSC JIHRM, HRSAP, and other organizations. His passion for leadership and self-development is reflected in his participation in various regional and national training programs and conferences.

As a Champion Research Presenter, he has presented studies at the regional and national conferences of COMEPP, focusing on addressing gender issues and promoting women’s engagement in the workplace. Beyond his professional pursuits, he believes that art is a powerful medium for self-expression and a tool for inspiring change and understanding. A true embodiment of dedication and resilience, he seamlessly blends artistry, leadership, and professional growth in his pursuit of excellence.

Alvie V. Bustamante | Tangub City Global College

Alvie Villanueva Bustamante is a passionate Human Resource Management graduate and lifelong student leader from Tangub City Global College. He held key leadership roles, including Vice President for Internal Affairs, and President of the Junior Executive of Human Resource Organization (JEHRO); Supreme Student Council Treasurer; Vice President for Audit and Bookkeeping of the Student Recognition Organization Federation; and Treasurer of the Graduating Class Officers.

He earned the prestigious Lux Mundis Award of Excellence and was recognized as an Outstanding Lux Mundis Awardee for his exemplary dedication. He is also an active member of the Human Resource Students' Association of the Philippines (HRSAP) and the Junior People Management Association of the Philippines (JPMAP).

Von Hart J. Malgapo | Eulogio "Amang" Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology - Manila Campus

Von Hart J. Malgapo is a graduate of the BS in Business Administration, major in Human Resource Management, from EARIST Manila. Guided by his belief, “In trying new things, you discover more about yourself and the world,” Von views every achievement as a result of courage, learning, and growth. He considers his accomplishments as collaborative efforts made possible through God’s grace and the support of mentors, peers, colleagues, and family.

He served as a four-year local officer of the Human Resource Society–EARIST Manila and is a national member of the Human Resource Students Association of the Philippines (HRSAP) and the Junior People Management Association of the Philippines (JPMAP). He co-led and organized job fairs, seminars, webinars, organizational improvements, podcast series, national HR competitions, international research conferences, and community outreach programs. He also co-authored the BSBA-HRM CHRA Test Bank, trained student leaders and hosts, and developed educational and inspirational content for organizational and personal social media platforms.

Cherel Mae M. Iglesias | Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Manila

Cherel Mae M. Iglesias is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Business Administration, major in Human Resource Management, from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines–Manila. Beyond academic excellence, she has demonstrated strong student leadership, driving initiatives that empower her peers and the HR community.

She served as Vice President of the Junior People Management Association of the Philippines (JPMAP)–National, collaborating with student leaders nationwide to implement programs for HR students. She was also Project Head of the 20th National Convention, JPMAP’s first two-day face-to-face convention after the pandemic, successfully bringing together students and professionals. As Chairperson for Corporate Social Responsibility, she led initiatives aligned with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals, including a nationwide mental health webinar, recycling drives, and a gift-giving program in partnership with organizations such as SM Cares and Cebu Pacific. At the local level, through HRSS–PUP, she held leadership roles in social media, environmental projects, and research and development.

Cherel also excelled in extracurricular activities, serving as a host, university publication writer, and award-winning participant in academic and non-academic competitions, including essay writing, photography, and e-sports. These experiences highlight her versatility, confidence, and commitment to excellence.

She currently serves as a Trade Marketing Associate at Universal Robina Corporation, contributing to brand strategy and organizational performance. Grounded in excellence and driven by purpose, she continues to pursue growth while creating meaningful and lasting impact.

Servino T. Custorio | Rizal Technological University –Mandaluyong

Servino Tactay Custorio is a consistent academic achiever with a General Weighted Average (GWA) of 1.32, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, major in Human Resource Development Management, from Rizal Technological University (RTU)–Mandaluyong.

He currently serves his alma mater as a Human Resource Management Assistant in the Learning and Development Section of the Human Resource Management Office–PRIME-HRM Unit, where he promotes workforce development and continuous upskilling within the university.

During his collegiate years, he demonstrated strong leadership and service as President of the Association of Human Resource Management Students (AHRMS) and Grand Chancellor of Alpha Phi Omega–Delta Alpha Chapter (APO-RTU). His commitment to social responsibility earned him the Frederick Taylor Award: HR Student Excellence in Community and Social Engagement for the Class of 2025, and he was also recognized as Best Intern at Awards Central Philippines.

A Certified Human Resource Associate (CHRA), grounded in the principles of leadership, friendship, and service, Servino continues to advocate for excellence and innovation in the field of Human Resources.

Chazia Leigh Lorenzana | ISHRM School System

Chazia Leigh Lorenzana is an exemplary graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, major in Human Resource Management, from ISHRM School System. She demonstrated consistent academic excellence, graduating Summa Cum Laude and receiving multiple awards, including Leadership Award, Co-curricular Award, Service Award, and Best in Practicum.

She combines strong academic achievement with extensive student leadership experience and practical training in organizational communication, advertising, and operations. She served as Director for Advertising and Creatives of the Human Resource Students’ Association of the Philippines and held key roles in the Student Council, including President, Vice President for Internal Affairs, and Secretary–Internal Affairs, as well as Head of Public Relations and Communications of the ISHRM BA Society.

Her contributions extend to community initiatives in Cavite and participation in various campaigns and programs. She also completed training in Leadership Foundations, Management in Training, Information Management, and Introduction to Health and Safety Standards from the Hospitality Institute of America–Philippines Incorporated in 2024. Currently, she is advancing her professional skills through the Comprehensive Air Traffic Service Course (CATS 19) at the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), applying human resource principles in a high-responsibility operational environment. Despite her quiet and reserved nature, she is known for her determination and commitment to excellence, believing that leadership is demonstrated through action, consistency, and results.

Sharina Joy V. Bautista | Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila,

Sharina Joy V. Bautista is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, where she earned her Business Administration major in Human Resource Management. She also holds professional credentials as a Certified Human Resource Associate (CHRA) among others, reflecting her commitment to excellence in the HR field.

She currently serves as an HR Operations Associate, supporting organizational effectiveness through records management and compliance coordination. She previously served as Chairperson for the National Convention of the Junior People Management Association of the Philippines, demonstrating her leadership in academic and youth initiatives focused on career development, workplace readiness, and leadership growth.

Advocating youth empowerment, Ms. Bautista promotes people-centered growth and meaningful opportunities for young individuals in the community.
