Christmas Cheer and Exciting Announcements at Our Club Party!
On December 9, our club came alive with laughter at the Christmas Party! Even with a smaller gathering of Rotarians, the evening was filled with holiday cheer that made everyone feel the warmth of the season.
One of the highlights of the night was the thrilling announcement of our President Nominee. This sparked excitement and anticipation for the year ahead. Members eagerly joined in parlor games, raffles, and the fun-filled exchange of gifts, sharing laughter, cheers, and lighthearted competition that kept the celebration lively from start to finish.
The night celebrated fellowship, which was a perfect way to close the year while embracing the excitement and possibilities of the new year. The joy of being together made the evening truly memorable.

Area 3B and C Projects: Job Fair and Project Angel Tree
On December 5, the club actively participated in the Area 3B and C initiatives, which featured a Job Fair and Project Angel Tree, addressing both employment opportunities and the needs of children in vulnerable situations.
Through Project Angel Tree, we reached out to 50 child laborers in Leyte, providing them with school bags filled with essential supplies, food packs, hygiene kits, and other basic necessities. These contributions aim to support their daily lives and education, helping them feel valued, cared for, and empowered to continue learning despite challenging circumstances.
The Job Fair complemented this effort by offering opportunities for livelihood and skill development within the community, reminding us that sustainable change comes through both immediate support and pathways for long-term growth.
This day of service underscores the importance of community collaboration and giving children the foundation to pursue education and brighter futures.

16th Regular Meeting: Planning and Preparation
On December 4, our 16th Regular Meeting focused on finalizing plans for the upcoming Christmas Party during the President’s time. Members reviewed the schedule and discussed key arrangements to ensure the event is well-organized and enjoyable for everyone.
The meeting also included the distribution of Avatar block screening tickets to all members. This ensures that everyone is prepared for this exciting and meaningful activity. The special screening of Avatar: Fire and Ash is scheduled for December 17 at 6:30 PM at Robinsons Movie World, Cinema 4. This fundraising effort directly supports our upcoming service projects, offering a simple and enjoyable way for friends, families, and partners to contribute to the community.
Members were briefed on ticket coordination and promotion strategies, so the screening can run smoothly and reach as many supporters as possible. With everyone’s involvement, this event promises to be both successful and impactful, helping us extend our service initiatives while engaging the community in a fun and meaningful way.

Deworming Project at Tacloban City Night High School

On December 3, we proudly launched our flagship Deworming Project at Tacloban City Night High School in Bagacay, reaching 250 students with essential medication, water, and snacks. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to student health, a continuation of last year’s efforts to make sure children are strong, confident, and ready to learn.
Good health is a foundation for learning. When students feel well, they attend classes more consistently, participate actively, and approach their lessons with energy and confidence. This project supports their ability to focus on education and enjoy a better quality of life.
The Deworming Project will continue in the coming days, and every form of support ensures the program reaches more children and creates a lasting impact. Together, we can make sure students stay healthy and supported to pursue their education with focus and confidence.

15th Regular Meeting: Conversations and a Celebration
The 15th Regular Meeting on November 27 took on a more focused tone, with the agenda centered on internal discussions rather than a guest presentation.
Time was devoted to refining plans for the Avatar block screening, with members addressing points that needed closer attention. The discussion helped sharpen the direction of the activity and kept preparations moving at a strategic pace.
The meeting also coincided with the birthday of PP Andrew Ng, which was marked with a simple celebration. Once again, happy birthday to PP Andrew Ng! Wishing you good health, continued success, and many more meaningful years of service.

14th Regular Meeting: Learning from Sustainable Practices
November 20 marked our 14th Regular Meeting, highlighted by the presence of our guest speaker, Mr. Wade Lim, Campus Director of SLSU Hinunangan.
Mr. Lim shared valuable insights on the planting of agarwood, discussing its environmental value and long-term potential for communities. His talk offered a grounded perspective on how sustainable agricultural practices can contribute to livelihood development while promoting environmental responsibility.
The session opened space for thoughtful discussion, connecting academic expertise with practical applications. Through this session, we realized that meaningful service can begin with informed choices and a deeper understanding of how we steward natural resources.

2nd RC Tacloban Board Meeting: Setting the Course for the Months Ahead
November 17 saw the 2nd Board Meeting convene at the Rotary Center, with discussions that were deliberate and forward-looking.
Plans for the Christmas Party were laid out with attention to purpose and participation, while the fundraising campaign took center stage as the board examined how upcoming activities could best support the club’s priorities. Particular focus was given to the Avatar block screening as a platform to engage the community and generate support, alongside updates and next steps for the Global Grant Application.
The discussion concluded with defined responsibilities and a sharper view of what needs to be done in the coming weeks. Each item on the agenda carried practical implications, shaping decisions that will directly influence the club’s activities and commitments moving into the end of the year.
